Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a sleep state detection method. The sleep state detection method includes: upon detecting that current status of a user satisfies a preset sleep condition, sending, by a smart wearable device, a state checking request to a terminal associated with the smart wearable device, the state checking request instructing the terminal to provide state information based on sensor data or an operation event of a predetermined application on the terminal; receiving the state information from the terminal; and determining whether the user enters a sleep state based on the state information.
