摘要: The present invention is intended to improve the quality of a three-dimensional display image, an MPR display image, or an MIP display image presented by an X-ray CT system that performs a conventional (axial) scan, a cine scan, or a helical scan. The X-ray CT system includes an image reconstruction unit or an image display unit. The image reconstruction unit or image display unit measures deviations of tomographic images in an x direction that is a horizontal direction and deviations thereof in a y direction that is a vertical direction according to the continuity in a z direction of an object that exhibits high CT numbers and that is visualized as a reference in the tomographic images; such as, a cradle, a head holder, the surface of a subject's body, or a bone. The image reconstruction unit or image display unit then compensates the deviations.

摘要: A method of measuring a modulation transfer function (MTF) includes detecting the center of a line spread function (LSF) image in order to calculate an MTF. For this purpose, an enlarged image of a portion of an image containing the LSF image is created, and binary-coded based on a threshold. A morphological operation is performed on the binary-coded image. Coordinates representing points that define the contour of the resultant image are sampled, and used to work out coordinates representing the center of a circle through Hough transform. The coordinates representing the center are transformed into coordinates representing a point in an original image.

摘要: Method of operating an X-ray CT apparatus and the corresponding apparatus and system thereof. A method includes analyzing scout scan data to obtain a position with a minimum noise index and a position with a maximum noise index, calculating noise indexes at the two positions in a range of a maximum and a minimum tube current that can be provided by the system by means of a tube current control model so as to obtain two ranges of noise index, and determining whether there is an intersection between the two ranges of noise index. If such an intersection exists, a combination of the range of tube current value and the range of noise index that meets the requirement is selected within the intersection to control the system to proceed with a subsequent scan. If no such intersection exists, the system ends the present scan.

摘要: An X-ray hybrid diagnosis system includes a single power supply, an X-ray radiography unit, an X-ray CT unit, and a single control console. The single power supply powers X-ray CR system having first X-ray tube and X-ray CT system having second X-ray tube. The X-ray radiography unit irradiates a subject with X-rays from first X-ray tube to obtain an X-ray radiographic image. The X-ray CT unit irradiates the subject with X-rays from the second X-ray tube and acquires projection data from a beam of the X-rays that has passed through the subject, to reconstruct an image using the acquired projection data, and to obtain a tomographic image. The single control console controls the X-ray radiography unit and the X-ray CT unit.
