    摘要: It is one object of the present invention to perform regional optimization while taking spatial continuity into account, and to provide higher-level spatial data mining.[Constitution]A region calculation method for introducing a two-dimensional association rule, extracted from a database, that includes spatial information, such as addresses, and for applying the two-dimensional association rule for a map, comprises the steps of: defining an objective function that is used to introduce the two-dimensional association rule and that does not include regional information for which an output request has been submitted; dividing a region on the map into pixel grids having a predetermined size to form buckets (S101); aggregating data available in the database for each bucket (S103); employing the objective function to calculate a region for the optimization of the objective function (S104); extracting entities, appearing on the map, that correspond to the obtained region (S106); and employing the extracted entities to output a region that is applied for the map.

    摘要: In a data processing system, an object is displayed on a display coupled to the data processing system. Also displayed, is a multiple-point cursor having at least first and second pointing spots. The multiple-point cursor is typically positioned by user manipulation of a pointing device, such as a mouse. In response to a user indication, such as a mouse click, a first operation is performed on the displayed object if the first pointing spot is positioned over the object during the mouse click. Similarly, a second operation is performed on the displayed object in response to a user indication while the second pointing spot of the multiple-point cursor is positioned over the object on the display. Such first and second operations may include a copy operation and a move operation.

The control points necessary for defining a graphic are displayed on an icon display screen together with a graphical icon.     摘要: A graphics system comprises a graphics object table that stores, for each graphics object, its identifier and the identifiers of one or more control points defining the graphics object; a control point table that stores, for each control point, its identifier and positional data which identifies the position of the control point relative to a graphics object. The graphics object table and the control point table are updated in response to the setting of one or more control points for a new graphics object by the user. These tables are referred to in response to a movement or reshaping of a primary graphics object, and the coordinate values of the affected control points are calculated by using a coordinate calculating unit.
