摘要： A digital receiver including: a receiver; a decoder; and a display controller, with a display having a first display zone displaying at least a part of the title included in program information and a second display zone displaying an entirety of the title, under control of the display controller; wherein the display controller includes an input data amount calculator calculating an amount of input data for the first display zone inputted from memory, and a comparator to compare the amount calculated with an amount of displayable data, and when the amount of the input data is larger than the amount of the displayable data, a part of the title and a symbol indicative of omission are displayed, and when the first display zone is selected, an entirety of the title in the selected first display zone is displayed in the second display zone.

摘要： A broadcasting and communication receiver apparatus for displaying program-associated information, in which, in addition to a predetermined display zone, another display zone is provided so that display data of specific information selected by a viewer is wholly displayed and, when the display data is displayed as omitted, a symbol indicative of the information omission is attached to the display data to display the display data within the limited display zone. The apparatus comprises a receiver for receiving the program-associated information including a title, start and end times of a broadcast program together with a video signal and an audio signal, a decoder for decoding the program-associated information, a display unit for displaying the decoded program-associated information thereon, a command receiver for receiving an input signal from a remote controller or from a key or keys provided to the receiver, and a display controller for controlling a display screen on the basis of the input signal.

摘要： For providing a recording guidance method to increase an operability of a broadcast receiving apparatus, installing a removable hard disk in addition to an internal information recording medium built therein, within the broadcast receiving apparatus comprises a display portion and at least an install-type HDD 25 and a removable HDD (i.e., iVDR) 26, so as to enable recording of a broadcast program(s), selectively, the recording is conducted into the install-type HDD 25, in substation, if the removable iVDR 26 is not inserted therein when executing the recording programmed onto the said removable iVDR 26, as well as, displaying a message on the display portion, for prompting to insert the iVDR. Or, a message is displayed, for prompting to insert the iVDR, on the display portion, if the iVDR is not inserted into the apparatus when conducting the recording program into the iVDR.
