摘要： A rotary shaft is provided in association with a distal end face in a transport direction of a sheet held on a waiting tray, the sheet being retained in a waiting mode. Then, a distal end lower end support member and a paddle member are mounted coaxially, and the rotary shaft is rotated. In this manner, standby retention, retention release, and alignment processes are carried out in order. During retention in a waiting mode, the distal end lower face support member supports a sheet distal end lower face. During release of the retention, this support member releases the support of the sheet distal end lower face. During the sheet alignment process, the alignment paddle member carries out alignment processing of the distal end in the transport direction of the sheet dropped onto a processing tray.

摘要： A sheet post-process apparatus includes a waiting tray and a processing tray. The waiting tray is provided in the middle of a conveying path and makes standby sheets in the case where a post-process is required. The processing tray has a function which causes the sheets made standby on the waiting sheet to be dropped by self-weight. With this function, the processing tray receives the sheets moved to be dropped and the sheets conveyed from the conveying path without intervening the waiting tray, before carrying out the post-process. Sheet bundles formed on the processing tray are stacked on a storage tray by a sheet conveying mechanism after they have been post-processed.

摘要： A waiting tray comprises left and right lower face support members for supporting a sheet. These support members are formed so that a width of an opening portion formed therebetween is wide at a distal end side as compared with a proximal end side in a transport direction of a sheet to be transported to the waiting tray. When the sheet which is not required to be retained in a waiting mode is transported to the waiting tray, at a time point when the sheet distal end reaches the waiting tray, both of the support members are opened to an extent such that the width of the opening portion of the left and right lower face support members is narrower than a sheet width at the proximal end side in the transport direction of the sheet, and is wider than the sheet width at the distal end side of the sheet. In this manner the sheet is dropped from the sheet distal end to the processing tray immediately without being retained in a waiting mode.
