摘要: When saturation conversion is done by multiplying data by a saturation conversion parameter with a constant value regardless of image features, an image which can give good impression to the user cannot always be obtained. In this invention, an image is segmented into a predetermined number of blocks, and attributes are discriminated in units of blocks. Conversion characteristics are calculated on the basis of saturation conversion parameters of an image, which are set in correspondence with the discrimination result, and saturation is converted based on the calculated characteristics. In this way, appropriate saturation correction can be achieved in correspondence with the image attribute.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a battery condition monitor that is capable of reducing labor and equipment costs for parameter setting for evaluation of the battery's condition and capable of readily responding to variations due to individual differences among the same model of vehicles. The battery condition monitor according to the present invention measures a lower limit voltage value for the time when a load during engine startup is substantially connected to a brand-new battery, as an initial reference lower limit voltage value VLIF; and derives a reference discharge characteristic of the brand-new battery with respect to the vehicle-unique load during engine startup, using the initial reference lower limit voltage value VLIF, an initial reference no-load voltage value VOIF which is a no-load voltage of that battery, and information about the rate of change in the internal resistance with respect to change in the no-load voltage of the battery, the information being previously stored in a storage unit, thereby to evaluate the condition of the battery based on the reference discharge characteristic.

摘要: An image obtained by being imaged by an imaging device and converted to color data using a color processing parameter is input and target color data corresponding to converted color data is input. Next, the color processing parameter is optimized based upon the color difference between the converted color data and target color data. When the optimization processing is executed, first optimization processing is executed for optimizing the color processing parameter using the first target color data being within a prescribed color gamut, and the converted color data corresponding to the target color data, and second optimization processing is executed for optimizing the color processing parameter using second target color data, which includes the target color data being out of the prescribed color gamut and is less than a prescribed threshold value, and the converted color data corresponding to the second target color data.

摘要: A ceramics porous body having a high porosity as well as high strength is especially suitable for use as a filter for removing foreign matter from a fluid or as a catalytic carrier. The porous body has a porosity of at least 30% and comprises columnar ceramic grains having an aspect ratio of at least 3. In particular, the porous body comprises Si.sub.3 N.sub.4 grains, of which at least 60% are hexagonal columnar beta-Si.sub.3 N.sub.4 grains. The porous body further comprises at least one compound of a rare earth element in an amount of at least 1 vol.% and not more than 20 vol.% of an oxide of the rare earth element, and optionally at least one compound of elements of the groups IIa and IIIb of the periodic table and transition metal elements in an amount of not more than 5 vol.% of an oxide of each element. A compact of mixed powder obtained by adding the compound powder of the rare earth element to silicon nitride powder is heat treated in a nitrogen atmosphere at a temperature of at least 1500.degree. C., to prepare the silicon nitride ceramic porous body.

摘要: In order to obtain a highly accurate color processing condition, a user is allowed to easily adjust a weight for a patch image with poor reliability. Hence, a color processing apparatus inputs color data of a plurality of patches included in a color chart captured by an image sensing device. Patch images based on the color data are displayed on a monitor, and a user interface for inputting a user's instruction to adjust a weight value for each patch image is displayed on a monitor. A color processing condition of an image captured by the image sensing device is generated based on the weight value, the color data, and a target value of a color representation corresponding to each patch image.
