    摘要: An ink jet printing head which both realizes a higher density and prevents a failure in ink jetting and deterioration in the printing quality. A photosensitive glass substrate which allows anisotropic etching is provided with a multiplicity of individual ink passages each having a narrow width and a large depth formed in an array by anisotropic etching in such a manner that each extends from the rear end of the glass substrate to the forward end thereof. A diaphragm is attached to the surface of the glass plate on which the individual ink passages are formed in such a manner as to cover all the individual ink passages. A common electrode is provided on the diaphragm, and individual piezoelectric elements are fixed to the common electrode at the portions corresponding to the individual ink passages. Individual electrodes are provided on the respective individual piezoelectric elements.When a voltage is applied to the common electrode and the individual electrode, the portion of the diaphragm corresponding to the individual electrode is bent and deformed, so that the ink storing capacity of the corresponding individual ink passage is reduced and some of the ink in the individual ink passage is forced out.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for producing an ink jet print head which both realizes a higher density and prevents a failure in ink jetting and deterioration in the printing quality. A multiplicity of individual ink passages, each having an narrow width and a large depth, are formed in an array by anisotropic etching a photosensitive glass substrate. A diaphragm is attached to the surface of the glass substrate so as to cover the individual ink passages. A common electrode is provided on the diaphragm, and individual piezoelectric elements are fixed to the common electrode at the portions corresponding to the individual ink passages. Individual electrodes are provided on the respective individual piezoelectric elements. A voltage applied to the common electrode and an individual electrode causes a portion of the diaphragm to corresponding to the individual electrode to be bend and deformed. The ink storing capacity of the corresponding individual ink passage is reduced and some of the ink is forced out.

    摘要: An inkjet printing head which is capable of being assembled efficiently and easily. In the inkjet printing head, a main frame has a hollow portion for receiving a flexible cable therein, and a sub-frame has a rimmed window for receiving a flexible member. The main frame and sub-frame are combined such that the flexible cable and flexible member are sandwiched therebetween. The hollow portion of the main frame, the flexible cable and the rimmed window of the sub-frame have the same shape so that these members can be reliably positioned with respect to one another. Electrodes on the flexible cable are pressed, with a uniform pressure, to piezoelectric elements of a head assembly attached to the main frame.

    摘要: An inkjet print head and inkjet printer can stabilize the characteristic of ink discharge and improve the quality of printing by providing a vibrating plate, a part of which is vibrated by deforming a piezoelectric element corresponding to a pressure chamber without transmission of the vibration to any other vibrating plate part corresponding to another pressure chamber. The inkjet print head and inkjet printer can prevent any floating in the grounding electrode. In the inkjet print head and inkjet printer, furthermore, the characteristic of ink droplet discharge can be stabilized by reducing and equalizing the distance between the grounding electrode and each of the piezoelectric element electrode. A head unit is mounted on a base which includes a support for supporting the parts of the vibrating plate corresponding to the respective nozzles. A flexible cable having electrode portions connected to the piezoelectric elements has a grounding electrode located at a position corresponding to a circular area which is defined by the pressure chambers and piezoelectric elements.

    摘要: In order to provide an ink jet print head effectively ensuring a stable print quality or capable of reducing the voltage applied to piezoelectric: elements while maintaining the volume displacement of the pressure chambers, and to provide an ink jet printer using the same, the ink jet print head of the present invention comprises a plurality of pressure chambers circularly arranged in a hounds tooth manner for allowing the passage of ink, and a plurality of ink flow paths acting as flow paths for ink flowing from the pressure chambers. It further comprises a diaphragm defining one surface of the pressure chambers, and a plurality of piezoelectric elements which apply a pressure to the pressure chambers to discharge the ink within the pressure chambers from the nozzle through the ink flow paths for printing. The pressure chambers disposed in the external portion of the hounds tooth arrangement have a circumferential length equal to or greater than that of the pressure chambers disposed in the internal portion of the hounds tooth arrangement, and have a radial length equal to or smaller than that of the latter.
