摘要： A combustor for a gas turbine engine is disclosed which is able to operate with high combustion efficiency, and low nitrous oxide emissions during gas turbine operations. The combustor consists of a can-type configuration which combusts fuel premixed with air and delivers the hot gases to a turbine. Fuel is premixed with air through a swirler and is delivered to the combustor with a high degree of swirl motion about a central axis. This swirling mixture of reactants is conveyed downstream through a flow path that expands; the mixture reacts, and establishes an upstream central recirculation flow along the central axis. A cooling assembly is located on the swirler co-linear with the central axis in which cooler air is conveyed into the prechamber between the recirculation flow and the swirler surface.

摘要： A refrigerator includes a gas flow generator formed with passages providing communication between an annular inlet chamber and a gas flow chamber, so that gas under pressure in the inlet chamber flows through the passages into the gas flow chamber. An energy transfer tube has a cylindrical interior space in communication with the gas flow chamber at one end of the tube and a throttle valve is installed in the energy transfer tube at its opposite end. An acoustic tone at a frequency in the range between about 1 kHz and about 20 kHz is spontaneously generated in the energy transfer tube when gas at a pressure exceeding about 100 psig is supplied to the inlet chamber.

摘要： A fuel-conditioning skid for an engine. The fuel-conditioning skid includes an inlet that is connectable to a source to receive a flow of fuel containing undesirable compounds. An outlet is connectable to the engine to deliver a flow of fuel that is substantially free of undesirable compounds. An inlet cleaner is in fluid communication with the inlet and is operable to remove a portion of the undesirable compounds. A compressor is in fluid communication with the inlet cleaner to receive the flow of fuel at a first pressure and discharge the flow of fuel at a second pressure. The second pressure is greater than the first pressure. A purifier is in fluid communication with the inlet cleaner to receive the flow of fuel. The purifier is operable to remove substantially all of the remaining undesirable compounds from the flow of fuel.

Another method includes means for ranking segments in a hierarchical fashion and optimizing projected return on investment based on an optimized segment hierarchy.
