摘要: A gaseous fuel engine system includes a quick start fuel system having a pressurized gaseous fuel supply, a fuel feed conduit and a quick start fuel admission valve. The fuel feed conduit is coupled to an intake conduit for the engine at a downstream fuel admission location. A main fuel system is coupled to the intake conduit at an upstream fuel admission location. The quick start fuel admission valve is electrically actuated to admit a pressured gaseous fuel from the pressurized gaseous fuel supply for quick starting the gaseous fuel internal combustion engine. The quick start fuel may have a fuel composition different than a fuel composition of the main fuel.

The sidewall includes a fuel interface configured to facilitate providing a supplemental fuel into the air intake tube to mix with the air upstream of the compressor of the turbocharger.

摘要: A cryogenic LNG fuel system is provided that includes a tank for storing LNG and a LNG fill system including a LNG inlet passage for directing a flow of LNG into the tank. A cryogenic pump is in fluid communication with the tank and includes a pumping element at least partially immersed in the LNG for directing the LNG out of the tank and a seal. A lubricant system is provided that includes a lubricant reservoir and a lubricant inlet passage in communication with the lubricant reservoir and the LNG inlet passage. The lubricant system is adapted to introduce the lubricant into the flow of LNG in the LNG inlet passage such that at least a portion of the lubricant is entrained in the LNG in the LNG inlet passage and carried into the tank.

摘要: A ship includes: a boil-off gas heat exchanger which heat-exchanges a compressed boil-off gas (“a first fluid”) by means of a boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank as a refrigerant; a compressor installed on the downstream of the boil-off gas heat exchanger and compressing a part of the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; first and second extra compressors provided in parallel with the compressor on the downstream of the boil-off gas heat exchanger and compressing the other part of the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; a refrigerant heat exchanger which additionally cools the first fluid cooled by means of the boil-off gas heat exchanger; a refrigerant decompressing device which expands a second fluid, which has been sent to the refrigerant heat exchanger and cooled by means of the refrigerant heat exchanger, and then sending the expanded second fluid back to the refrigerant heat exchanger.

摘要: An apparatus and method are disclosed for an injector assembly including an injector tip having a prechamber, such as a permanent, passive prechamber (PPPC), and a nozzle combustion shield (NCS) to mitigate pre-ignition events, such as knocking, caused by overheating of the prechamber. The NCS has a thermal conductivity greater than the injector tip. The NCS optionally includes a barrel forming a slip fit with the cylinder head bore and forming a press fit with the injector tip. The NCS also optionally includes a brim to form a combustion seal with a cylinder head. As the spark plug ignites a fuel charge in the prechamber, heat is absorbed into the injector tip, flows into the NCS barrel, out of the NCS brim, and into the cylinder head for cooling via a cooling jacket.

摘要: A system, method and apparatus for controlling a gas substitution characteristic in a dual fuel engine are provided. The gas substitution characteristic can be controlled based on measured characteristics directly or indirectly associated with operation of the dual fuel engine, including intake manifold air pressure (IMAP), load of the dual fuel engine, ambient air temperature, exhaust temperature, fan speed, and/or pressure of natural gas supplied to the dual fuel engine. Further, the gas substitution characteristic can be controlled by controlling intake manifold air temperature (IMAT) based on control of a cooling capacity of a cooling circuit.
