Provided is an apparatus and method for coding and decoding multi-object audio signals with various channels and providing backward compatibility with a conventional spatial audio coding (SAC) bitstream. The apparatus includes: an audio object coding unit for coding audio-object signals inputted to the coding apparatus based on a spatial cue and creating rendering information for the coded audio-object signals, where the rendering information provides a coding apparatus including spatial cue information for audio-object signals; channel information of the audio-object signals; and identification information of the audio-object signals, and used in coding and decoding of the audio signals.

Provided is a method and apparatus for generating a side information bitstream of a multi-object audio signal. The apparatus for generating a side information bitstream of a multi-object audio signal includes a spatial cue information input unit configured to receive spatial cue information generated in an encoder of the multi-object audio signal, a preset information input unit configured to receive preset information for the multi-object audio signal, and a side information bitstream generator configured to generate the side information bitstream based on the spatial cue information and the preset information. The side information bitstream includes a header region and a frame region, and the preset information is included in the frame region.

Provided are a large-scale cluster monitoring system and a method for automatically building/restoring the same, which can automatically build a large-scale monitoring system and can automatically build a monitoring environment when a failure occurs in nodes. The large-scale cluster monitoring system includes a CM server, a BD server, GM nodes, NA nodes, and a DB agent. The CM server manages nodes in a large-scale cluster system. The DB server stores monitoring information that is state information of nodes in groups. The GM nodes respectively collect the monitoring information that is the state information of the nodes in the corresponding groups to store the collected monitoring information in the DB server. The NA nodes access the CM server to obtain GM node information and respectively collect the state information of the nodes in the corresponding groups to transfer the collected state information to the corresponding GM nodes. The DB agent monitors the monitoring information of the nodes in the groups, which is stored in the DB server, to detect a possible node failure.

Disclosed is a phase shifter having a power dividing function. The phase shifter includes: an input port for receiving a radio frequency (RF) signal; a power dividing unit for dividing the RF signal into a first divided signal of which phase is to be varied and a second divided signal having a fixed phase value; a first output port for outputting the second divided signal having the fixed phase value; a phase shift unit for dividing the first divided signal into a third divided signal and a fourth divided signal wherein the third divided signal and the fourth divided signal move in opposite directions; a phase delay unit for shifting phase of the third divided signal and the fourth divided signal based on a difference in a path length of the third divided signal and the fourth divided signal, to thereby generate phase-shifted signals; and at least two second output ports connected to the phase delay unit, for outputting the phase-shifted signals.

The present research relates to controlling rendering of multi-object or multi-channel audio signals. The present research provides a method and apparatus for controlling rendering of multi-object or multi-channel audio signals based on spatial cues in a process of decoding the multi-object or multi-channel audio signals. To achieve the purpose, the method suggested in the research controls rendering in a spatial cue domain in the process of decoding the multi-object or multi-channel audio signals.

This invention can enhance functions of the object-based audio service and make it easy to access to each audio object of an audio content file.

Provided is an availability prediction method for a high availability. The method includes calculating a basic survival probability that the other node survives until a failure on one node of two nodes constituting a cluster is fixed, and determining an optimal number of nodes meeting a preset reference availability probability by calculating an availability probability for a predetermined range of the number of nodes on the basis of the basic survival probability. The method determines the number of nodes in the high availability cluster so as to match a reference availability probability, and is able to accomplish an optimal configuration of a cluster by calculating the availability probabilities for combinations between active node and passive nodes and between head nodes and switches.
