    摘要: A housing assembly of an OPC unit to protect an OPC drum in an image forming apparatus includes a main housing enclosing at least a half of a large-diameter OPC drum and provided with a main-opening selectively contacting a plurality of developing units and a plurality of sub-openings, a first housing and a second housing each mounted on a side of the main housing, a handle hingedly connected to the main housing, and a plurality of brackets mounted on opposite sides of the main housing. As a result, the housing assembly of the OPC unit allows easy development, electrification, exposure, image transfer and treatment of a waste toner, and reliability of the image developing process increases due to the fixation of the developing units. Also, since the exposure of the OPC drum is minimized, an area of the OPC drum to be contaminated can be reduced.

    摘要: An organic photoconductive (OPC) unit of an image forming apparatus and a gear assembly arranged in the OPC unit. The gear assembly includes a drum gear formed on a flange of an OPC drum, a cleaning gear driven by a receiving power from the drum gear, and at least one idle gear interposed between the drum gear and the cleaning gear and transmitting the rotational force of the drum gear to the cleaning gear. Therefore, it is possible to drive a plurality of additional rollers with a single power source, and easy to connect the OPC drum with the gears when the OPC drum is fitted into the OPC unit. In addition, because the gear assembly is constructed in a compact form, it is possible to reduce the volume of the OPC unit.

The visible image is transferred onto a transfer medium. A photosensitive unit includes the photosensitive medium, a frame supporting the photosensitive medium, and a cover covering an exposed portion of an outer circumference of the photosensitive medium that is not covered by the frame.

    摘要: An ink delivery system of a liquid electrophotographic color printer which supplies liquid developers of predetermined concentration, each of which is a mixture of a toner and a liquid carrier, to a plurality of respective developing units, and which recovers the carrier using a drying/condensing unit which absorbs and evaporates the carrier remaining on the photosensitive medium after development. A plurality of circulation tanks store respective developers to be supplied to a corresponding developing unit. Respective concentration measuring devices measure the concentration of the developers. A waste tank receives waste developer produced in the plurality of circulation tanks, and includes a waste developer agitating device for agitating the waste developer. A plurality of ink storage tanks store concentrated inks of predetermined colors to be supplied to the respective circulation tanks, and include respective ink agitators driven by a single driving source. A carrier storage tank stores a carrier to be supplied to the circulation tanks, and having an inclined surface at the bottom so that water and a liquid carrier condensed by the drying/condensing unit can be stored in a stratified state. A refill cartridge stores a concentrated ink or carrier with compressed air and is removably installed at a common installation portion provided at the main body of the printer. A developer refilling/waste recovering mechanism refills a concentrated ink or carrier of the refill cartridge into a corresponding ink storage tank or carrier storage tank and recovers the waste developer stored in the waste tank to an empty refill cartridge.
