    摘要: A method includes moving a first end portion of a charging member with respect to a photoconductive member to obtain a first electrical discharge event corresponding to conduction of an electrical current from the charging member to the photoconductive member. The method also includes identifying a first adjustment value corresponding to a distance in which the first end portion moved toward the photoconductive member to obtain the first electrical discharge event. The method also includes moving a second end portion of the charging member with respect to the photoconductive member to obtain a second electrical discharge event corresponding to conduction of an electrical current from the charging member to the photoconductive member. The method also includes identifying a second adjustment value corresponding to a distance in which the second end portion moved toward the photoconductive member to obtain the second electrical discharge event.

    摘要: What is disclosed is a system and method for minimizing the Inter-Document Zone (IDZ) in printing system architectures with print engines running at constant speed. The asymmetric IDZ precession disclosed herein is intended for those multi-pass systems where there is a difference in required start and stop durations of various transition subsystems such as transfer engagement and disengagement processes. This mode reduces the required inter-document zone region by shifting the zone in accordance with asymmetric timing of start and stop times of processes that must occur during this time. Advantageously, productivity gains are effectuated without altering process speeds.
