摘要： Fragrant cyclohexanol derivatives are produced by condensing 2-ethylidene-5-norbornene with a phenol compound, in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst; and hydrogenating the condensation product in the presence of a metal catalyst.The compounds so produced have a green-floral odor and are advantageously used in soaps, detergents, shampoos, hair rinse, cosmetics, colognes and perfumes.
