The disclosed doffing apparatus is for use in a spinning machine including a mechanism for winding a yarn in the form of a cheese or package, a device for cutting the yarn fed to the winding mechanism when the cheese becomes full and an air suction device for sucking the cut yarn which is continuously fed even after cutting. This doffing apparatus comprises an operation member which is movably positioned in the vicinity of the air suction device and cutting device so that the operation member is operatively interconnected to the air suction device and cutting device, and opening of the air suction device and operation of the cutting device are performed by the movement of the operation member. In this doffing apparatus, release of a full cheese from the winding mechanism also can be performed by this operation member.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transferring yarn packages doffed from a textile machine provided with a conveyer belt disposed along the longitudinal direction thereof, to a container. The yarn packages are carried to one end of the conveyer and then dropped into the container positioned at a receiving position below and next to the end of the conveyer. The dropping distance from the end portion of the carrying surface of the conveyer to the surface for receiving yarn packages in the container is always maintained at a substantially predetermined distance which is larger than the width L of one package, but smaller than the width of two packages.

A moving picture data compression device 1 is provided with a controller 20 for inputting a realtime/non-realtime switch signal to switchers 30 and 40 when a realtime/non-realtime switch interrupt is received from a personal computer 3 in order to control a compressor 60 to compress either realtime data recorded on a video tape 5 or non-realtime data recorded on a video file 7 according to a user's desire. When compressing non-realtime data, the controller 20 sends a synchronization signal to the compressor 60, after outputting one field worth of video signal to a buffer 50, in order to instruct the compressor 60 to read data. When the controller 20 receives a one-field read end interrupt, indicative of the end of the reading operation, from the compressor 60, the controller 20 outputs the next field data to the buffer 50.

A facsimile apparatus has a first operating mode in which first data entered through an interface from an external unit is received in precedence over second data entered through a modem from other facsimile apparatus over a communication line, and a second operating mode in which the second data is received in precedence over the first data, and is operative to receive and print data in accordance with the mode of priority order set on a switch. The apparatus is provided with two sheet delivery ports so that print paper (print sheet) on which the first data is printed and print paper (reception sheet) on which the second data is printed are delivered separately to the respective delivery ports. The apparatus allows the user to obtain a printed sheet of urgent data immediately, and also frees the user from hand separation of print sheets and reception sheets.

An empty bobbin supply device for use in a doffing machine which travels in front of spinning units and is adapted for doffing a cheese and donning an empty bobbin in place thereof. This empty bobbin supply device has a reserve box, a reserve conveyor and a horizontal transfer conveyor, which are all positioned substantially in a vertical direction. An empty bobbin comes downwardly by gravity from the reserve box and is received between transfer plates of the reserve conveyor. The bobbin is then transferred downwardly by the circulating reserve conveyor, and in the absence of a bobbin on the horizontal transfer conveyor, the bobbin is delivered therefrom, while when a bobbin is present on the transfer conveyor, the bobbin remains on the reserve conveyor. The terminal of the horizontal transfer conveyor serves as a stand-by position for an empty bobbin in the doffing portion.
