摘要： In a stencil printer, a printing drum is provided with a clamp plate for clamping an end portion of a stencil master, thereby holding the stencil master on the printing drum. A paper supply mechanism supplies printing sheets to the printing drum in synchronization with rotation of the printing drum. A first motor drives the paper supply mechanism by way of a first transmission mechanism, and a second transmission mechanism is operatively connected to the first transmission mechanism to be driven by the first motor by way of the first transmission mechanism, thereby rotating the printing drum. A phase adjustment mechanism driven by a second motor drives the second transmission mechanism with the first transmission mechanism held stopped, thereby changing the relative phases of rotation of the printing drum and sheet supply operation of the paper supply means. A drum position sensor generates a detecting signal upon detection that the printing drum comes to a reference position. The first motor is driven to rotate the printing drum and is stopped upon generation of the detecting signal. Then the second motor is driven to rotate the printing drum to the reference position.

摘要： In the device for automatically controlling the position of a pair of pinch rollers for pressing opposite side edge portions of a sheet delivered from a printing portion of a printer at a surface thereof bearing a print image according to a detection of the spacing between a pair of side fences for aligning opposite sides edges of a stack of sheets charged on a sheet supply tray, a detection error of the sheet width due to a disturbance of stack condition of the sheets or an incorrect contact of the side fence to the side edge of the stack of sheets is automatically corrected by the spacing between the pair of side fences being compared with the width of sheets of regular sizes, while the pinch rollers being positioned by assuming that the sheets are of one of the regular sizes when the difference of the comparison is within a predetermined numerical range.

摘要： In a stencil printer, a first conveyor portion conveys a stencil master toward a printing drum and includes a rotatable platen roller which rotates to convey the stencil master pinched between the platen roller and a thermal head and associates with the thermal head to thermally make a perforating image on the stencil master. A second conveyor portion which is disposed between the first conveyor portion and the printing drum and conveys the stencil master toward the printing drum. When making the perforating image on the stencil master, the first conveyor portion operates at a first speed with the second conveyor portion stopped or operated at a low speed after the leading end of the stencil master is delivered to the second conveyor portion. When conveying the leading end of the stencil master, on which the perforating image has been made, toward a master clamping mechanism disposed on a generatrix of the printing drum, the second conveyor portion operates at a second speed lower than the first speed with the first conveyor section stopped.
