摘要: A lift-up mechanism (50, 150) installed inside a vehicle serves to move a seat unit (10, 110) into or out of the vehicle. The seat unit (10, 110) is used as a passenger seat inside the vehicle and as a wheelchair outside the vehicle. Connecting plates (56, 156) are disposed on the lift-up mechanism (50, 150) permit the lift-up mechanism (50, 150) to be connected to the seat unit (10, 110) by inserting the connecting plates into connecting recesses (40, 140) formed in the seat unit (10, 110). Front wheels (60, 160) and rear wheels (70, 170) of the seat unit (10, 110) can be retracted and extended. A drive unit having an electric motor or similar drive may be provided to retract and extend the front wheels (60, 160) and the rear wheels (70, 170). An attitude changing arrangement may be provided to automatically change the attitude of the front wheels (60, 160) when the front wheels (60, 160) and the rear wheels (70, 170) are retracted.

摘要: A radio communication method acquires a moving speed of a radio communication terminal located in a cell formed by a first radio base station. A second radio base station is requested to radiate a dynamic directional beam in a direction of the cell formed by the first radio base station when the moving speed is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold prior to entering a cell formed by the second radio base station. The radio communication terminal is accommodated in the second radio base station that has transmitted the directional beam in response to the request.

摘要: A radio base station includes: a propagation path characteristic acquisition unit which acquires propagation path characteristics between a radio communication terminal and a radio base station; and a channel controller which reports to the radio communication terminal that channel allocation information is transmitted by using a dedicated control channel if the acquired propagation characteristic satisfies a predetermined condition. After the channel control unit has reported to the radio communication terminal that the channel allocation information is transmitted by using an dedicated control channel, the channel control unit and a MAP processing unit transmit the channel allocation information by using an dedicated control channel instead of a broadcast control channel in the downstream frame.

摘要: A MIMO wireless communication system and wireless communication apparatuses are disclosed that increase the practically usable communication channel capacity in the Shannon channel capacity that determines the ratio of maximum signal transmission speed to frequency. Each wireless communication apparatus includes antenna units that transmit and receive radio frequency signals, and a weight controlling unit that provides weights with respect to the antenna units. The antenna units are formed by adaptive array antenna units that can change the directivity by varying weights with respect to antenna elements. The weight controlling unit includes an eigenvalue calculating unit that calculates the eigenvalues of a matrix HH* (H being a channel matrix), an inverse calculation unit that calculates such a channel matrix H′ as to have all eigenvalues within a predetermined range that includes the average value of the calculated eigenvalues, and a directivity adjusting unit that adjusts the adaptive array antenna directivity so that the current channel matrix H approaches the calculated channel matrix H′.

摘要: An adaptive controller adaptively controls a plurality of variable high frequency devices. A calculation part calculates a scalar function value by using a signal varied in accordance with impedances of the variable high frequency devices, a reference signal, and a predetermined scalar function. An impedance variation part creates a signal that sequentially varies the impedances of the variable high frequency devices. A determination part determines, when the impedance of one of the variable high frequency devices is varied, whether a direction in which the scalar function value is varied is in a predetermined sloped direction. The impedance variation part includes a first variation part that, when a decision result in the determination part is in the predetermined direction, creates a signal that further varies the impedance of the one of the variable high frequency devices in the predetermined sloped direction. The impedance variation part also includes a second variation part that, when the decision result in the determination part is not in the predetermined sloped direction, creates one of a signal that varies the impedance of the one of the variable high frequency devices in an oppositely sloped direction and a signal that varies the impedance of another one of the variable high frequency devices.

摘要: A control unit and a control method are disclosed. First and second changing units change impedances of two or more first and second components within predetermined first and second ranges, respectively, the first and the second components affecting an output signal. An evaluation function value calculating unit calculates an evaluation function value that is dependent on the impedances of the first and the second components. A gradient vector calculating unit calculates a gradient vector based on the difference between the evaluation function values before and after the impedance change of the second components. Based on the gradient vector, impedance of each of the first components is changed such that the evaluation function value takes a desired value.
