    摘要: Interference between adjacent sections is prevented in an optical wireless communication system, in which a center device is capable of concurrently communicating through lines with a plurality of parent devices each disposed in one of the sections into which a communication area of the system is divided and each of the parent devices communicates with a plurality of child devices disposed in the same section where said parent device is disposed. The sections is grouped into some groups of sections which do not adjoin each other. Optical wireless communications are done only within one group of sections in each communication period. Some techniques for improving the effect of communication are disclosed.

    摘要: When an optical disc is mounted therein, an optical disc apparatus measures a tilt angle of an objective lens for an outer radial position on the optical disc, i.e., an outer tilt angle. Based on the outer tilt angle as measured and a preset inner tilt angle, the apparatus calculates a relationship between radial positions on the optical disc and tilt angles corresponding to the respective radial positions. In recording or reading data on or from the optical disc, the apparatus tilts the objective lens, according to the calculated relationship, at a tilt angle corresponding to a data recording position or a data reading position.

    摘要: An optical disc device includes a control part for causing processing of determining a type of an optical disc to be executed. The processing caused by the control part to be executed for determining the optical disc includes: signal acquisition processing of acquiring a pull-in signal (sum signal of reflected signal) and an RF signal (reproduced signal) by moving an objective lens in either of a direction approaching the optical disc and a direction separating from the optical disc; and determination processing of deciding whether or not to correct the pull-in signal acquired in the signal acquisition processing and determining the type of the optical disc by using either of amplitude of the acquired pull-in signal and a correction value with which the amplitude of the acquired pull-in signal is corrected by using a predetermined value obtained from the acquired RF signal.

    摘要: An optical disc apparatus corrects spherical aberration by moving a movable lens along an optical axis direction. A spherical aberration correcting method in the optical apparatus includes: a step to obtain data which relates to a most appropriate adjusted position of the movable lens in the optical disc apparatus utilizing an optical discs for condition setting and to store the data in advance; a step to calculate the distance from the surface of the optical disc that is loaded in the optical disc apparatus to the information recording layer; a step to obtain difference of the distance between the calculated distance and distance that the optical disc should have as specified in standard, with respect to the distance from the surface of the optical disc that is loaded in the optical disc apparatus to the information recording layer; and a step to perform correction of the spherical aberration such that the most appropriate adjusted position which corresponds to the optical disc that is loaded in the optical disc apparatus is shifted in a distance which is substantially the same as the difference of distances that is obtained.
