摘要： This specification discloses an indicator device within the viewfinder of a camera for indicating a predetermined range substantially centrally of the viewfinder field frame. The indicator device comprises at least one electro-optical element for indicating the predetermined range, the optical characteristic of the electro-optical element being variable by an electrical signal information, an information circuit for putting out photographing information, and a control circuit for producing an electrical signal information corresponding to the output of the information circuit and varying the optical characteristic of the electro-optical element.

The electronic flash device also serve as a pre-light-emission device capable of performing pre-light-emission for the purpose of preventing red-eye effect. When it is judged from the photographing condition that red-eye effect may occur, a controller activates the electronic flash device to effect a pre-light-emission for reducing the size of pupils of eyes of a person to be photographed, before the main flashing which is executed in synchronization with the exposure.

摘要： A display and method for selecting a control mode or an operational parameter of a camera utilizes a display screen located laterally adjacent a plurality of switches on the camera. During a first display condition, a plurality of control mode symbols are displayed on the display screen, each control mode symbol appearing adjacent a corresponding switch. Indicators on the display screen indicate which of the plurality of switches may by operated to select each control mode. During a second display condition, at least one operational parameter is displayed on the display screen. The indicators indicate which of the switches correspond to each displayed opertional parameter, and which of the switches to operate to change the displayed operational parameter. The indicators may also indicate how the displayed operational parameter will change upon operation of each of the switches.

摘要： A camera has a control device (MCU) for controlling magnetic recording of photographing data in units of photographing frames stored upon photographing onto the corresponding photographing frames on the film upon film rewinding. The camera has a photographable frame number detection device for detecting the number of photographable frames of the film from an information device provided to a film cartridge, and a film counter device for incrementing the count number every time one frame is photographed. Also, the camera has a film end detection device for detecting the film end, and a comparison device for comparing the number of photographable frames detected by the photographable frame number detection device with the count number of the film counter device when the film end detection device detects the film end. Furthermore, the camera has an alarm display device (DSP) for producing an alarm indicating errors in magnetic recording when the comparison device detects a non-coincidence between the two values. With this arrangement, a problem posed upon magnetically recording the photographing data during film rewinding when the film counter has caused errors during film forwarding can be solved, and an alarm display can be performed for the photographer.

摘要： A camera is provided so that an inexperienced photographer is able to see the data easily regarding the necessary parameter for setting, and furthermore, the setting input operation of that parameter can be accomplished easily. The camera has a display that offers a selection of parameters and a display that verifies the parameter selected. The display showing the selected parameter is easily returned to the original selection display. Two operating modes are provided, a simple mode and an advanced mode. In the simple mode, an automatic preprogrammed mode may be selected at any time by continuously depressing a menu switch. In the advanced mode, continuous depression of the menu switch allows a user to automatically use a prestored favorite mode or the previously selected mode. Thus, operation is easy and selections are quickly executed.
