摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide an aqueous ethylene-vinyl alcohol-based copolymer dispersion which is excellent in long-term storage stability and in film-forming properties even when subjected to low-temperature or short-time drying or applied to give thick coats and can give coatings showing high gas barrier performance. The prevent invention is an aqueous ethylene/vinyl alcohol-based copolymer dispersion, which comprises: (A) an ethylene/vinyl alcohol-based copolymer with an ethylene content of 15-65 mole percent and a degree of saponification of not lower than 80 mole percent, (B) a base-neutralized ethylene/α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid-based copolymer and (C) a polyvinyl alcohol with a degree of saponification of 75-100 mole percent and a degree of polymerization of 100-3500, the content of the polyvinyl alcohol (C) being 0.5-100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the ethylene/vinyl alcohol-based copolymer (A).

摘要: Provided is a gas barrier film including a layer of a resin composition (C) on at least one side of a substrate (D), wherein the resin composition (C) contains a water soluble or water dispersible polymer (A) and a swellable inorganic layered silicate (B), where the swellable inorganic layered silicate (B) satisfying expressions (1) and (2) below is used. 11.0≧D≧2.0 μm (1), σ≧1.8 μm (2), wherein D and a are a logarithmic average particle diameter of the swellable inorganic layered silicate (B) measured by laser diffraction and standard deviation of a particle size distribution thereof, respectively. This provides a gas barrier film including a resin composition layer, with a swellable inorganic layered silicate dispersed therein, having an extremely excellent gas barrier property and a method of producing a multilayer barrier film having the resin composition layer with extremely less irregularities on a surface thereof.
