摘要： An apparatus includes an extraction unit to extract a feature point in a first image. A determination unit determines a motion vector that corresponds to the feature point extracted from the first image by the extraction unit and a corresponding point that is located in a second image and that has a highest degree of similarity between image data for the feature point and image data for the corresponding point, among candidates of the corresponding point in the second image. A correction unit corrects a first motion vector determined by the determination unit by employing a second motion vector determined by the determination unit. The correction unit employs the second motion vector, in accordance with both of a first degree of similarity between the feature point and the corresponding point, and a second degree of similarity between the feature point and another candidate among the candidates.

摘要： When a feature point in a first image is employed to search for corresponding points in a second image, there is a case wherein an appropriate motion vector can not be determined, such as a case wherein multiple corresponding point choices are present, or no corresponding points are found. Therefore, when a corresponding point that has a high similarity to the feature point in the first image is not specified in the second image, a motion vector that is to be determined for a feature point, other than the feature point in the first image, is examined, and a motion vector for this feature point is determined.

An image processing method is provided in which the component values of hue, saturation and lightness of an image represented by image data are independently changed. 摘要： When printing image data obtained by an input device, the present invention is intended to effectively utilize the color reproduction area of the printer. An image data processing method of the present invention comprises the steps of scale-down shifting a first color space point outside a maximum color reproduction area of an output unit to a second color space point within the maximum color reproduction area of the output unit; computing an amount of shift by which the first color space point is shifted to the second color space point; converting the second color space point to a third color space point within a color reproduction area smaller than the maximum color reproduction area of the output unit; and outputting an image to the output unit using image data obtained by scale-up shifting the third color space point to a fourth color space point within the maximum color reproduction area of the output unit based on the computed shift amount.

摘要： An image processing method of performing various image correction processes to a photographed image and printing the photographed image comprises the steps of: inputting image information to which photographing condition information is added; analyzing the characteristic of the input image information; performing an imago correction process of improving image quality to the photographed image on the basis of the characteristic of the analyzed image information; discriminating the photographing condition information added to the photographed image; and determining an image correction process to be performed in a step of performing the image correction process on the basis of the photographing condition information discriminated in the discriminating step, whereby it becomes possible to provide a high quality print-output result of reflecting the intention of a user at a time of photographing.
