摘要： The present invention discloses a monocomponent developing device which comprises an image carrying member having an electrostatic latent image formed on its surface, a rotatably disposed actuating roller confronting said image carrying member, a toner transporting member formed of flexible member having a peripheral length longer than that of said actuating roller and loosely mounted thereover, said toner transporting member being an endless thin film member constructed of anisotropic electrically conductive film alternatively comprising insulated portions and electrically conductive portions which are formed by a plurality of electrodes so as to be conductive in the film width direction, and positioning means for positioning said toner transporting member in order to form a slack in the toner transporting member at a location confronting said image carrying member and bringing the slack into contact with the image carrying member.

摘要： In a method for developing an electrostatic latent image comprising the steps of;(a) supplying toner onto a toner transporting member which confronts an electrostatic latent image support member with the leectrostatic latent image thereon at an developing region, said toner being 12 .mu.m or less in mean particle size, 10% or less of toner with at least 16 .mu.m in particle size, and 20% or less in coefficient of variation;(b) forming a thin layer of said toner on the toner transporting member by pressing said toner; and(c) transferring said toner from said thin layer of said toner onto the electrostatic latent image formed on an electrostatic latent image support member for developing the electrostatic latent image.

摘要： A developing device confronting a rotatably provided electrostatic latent image support member and including a rotatable developing roller confronting said electrostatic latent image support member, a flexible outer sleeve having a peripheral length larger than that of the developing roller so as to be loosely fitted around the developing roller, an urging member for depressing the outer sleeve against the developing roller so as to form a gap between the developing roller and the outer sleeve such that a peripheral surface of the outer sleeve is brought into contact, at a downstream side or an upstream side of its location having a maximum distance from an axis of the developing roller in a rotational direction of the outer sleeve, with the electrostatic latent image support member when the developing roller is rotated and a member for forming a toner layer on the peripheral surface of said outer sleeve.

摘要： A developing device developes an electrostatic latent image formed on a rotatable electrostatic latent image support member. The developing device includes a rotatable first toner transport member in contact with an electrostatic latent image support member and a rotatable second toner transport member in contact with an electrostatic latent image support member. Toner layers are formed on the peripheral surface of the first toner transport member and the second toner transport member. 摘要： A cleaning device which includes a driving roller, a thin film member in an endless belt configuration having a circumferential length slightly longer than that of the driving roller and applied over an outer peripheral face of the driving roller, and elastic members for pressing the thin film member against the driving roller. 摘要： A developing device comprising: a drive roller which is driven so as to be rotated; a developing sleeve which is formed by a thin film and has a peripheral length slightly larger than that of the drive roller so as to be fitted around the drive roller; a press member which presses the developing sleeve against the drive roller at one side of the drive roller so as to form a sag portion of the developing sleeve such that the sag portion is brought into contact with an electrostatic latent image support member; and an electric field forming member for forming alternating electric field such that an attractive force capable of bringing the developing sleeve and the electrostatic latent image support member into contact with each other is applied between the developing sleeve and the electrostatic latent image support member.
