Abstract: Techniques for controlling a mobile robot to escort high priority items are disclosed herein. An example mobile robot includes an electronically securable storage compartment electronically controllable between a stored state and an accessible state. The example mobile robot further includes a user access controller configured to receive a user authorization indicating a desired user access to the electronically securable storage compartment. The user access controller may also trigger a mitigation protocol when the electronically securable storage compartment is accessed without receiving the user authorization.

Abstract: In some implementations, a computer system may initiate a method comprising: the method comprising: initiating communication between a tag and a reader; initiating a first program; determining a communication time period by starting a timer when the tag and the reader are within a communication range and stopping the timer when the tag and the reader are no longer within the communication range; comparing the communication time period to a first threshold time period; and when the communication time is greater than the first threshold time period, initiating a second program different from the first program.
