    Abstract: An optically anisotropic layer obtained by curing a liquid crystal composition containing a photopolymerizable liquid crystal compound, wherein a ratio of the photopolymerizable liquid crystal compound in the optically anisotropic layer is 25% by weight or less, and absorption values of the optically anisotropic layer satisfy specific relationship, the values being at local maximum absorption wavelengths for polarized light parallel to an orientation direction of the optically anisotropic layer and at local maximum absorption wavelengths for polarized light perpendicular to the orientation direction of the optically anisotropic layer within each of a first wavelength range of 230 nm or more and less than 300 nm and a second wavelength range of 300 nm or more and 400 nm or less.

    Abstract: An optically anisotropic multi-layered product including an optically anisotropic layer (Sm), and an optically anisotropic layer (N), wherein: the optically anisotropic layer (Sm) is an optically anisotropic layer that contains a liquid crystal compound (A-Sm) fixed in a state in which a smectic liquid crystal phase is exhibited; the optically anisotropic layer (N) is an optically anisotropic layer that contains a liquid crystal compound (A-N) fixed in a state in which a nematic liquid crystal phase is exhibited; and the optically anisotropic layer (Sm) and the optically anisotropic layer (N) have a common in-plane slow axis direction. A method for producing the optically anisotropic multi-layered product is also provided.

    Abstract: A composition includes a polymerizable liquid crystal compound (A), a photopolymerization initiator (B), and a crosslinking agent (C), and satisfies: |λa1−λb1|≤20 nm   (i), and λc1≤250 nm   (ii), where λa1 represents a wavelength of an absorption local maximum that is the longest one of wavelengths of absorption local maxima in a light absorption spectrum of from 200 nm to 500 nm of the polymerizable liquid crystal compound (A), λb1 represents a wavelength of an absorption local maximum that is the longest one of wavelengths of absorption local maxima in a light absorption spectrum of from 200 nm to 500 nm of the photopolymerization initiator (B), and λc1 represents a wavelength of at least one absorption local maximum in a light absorption spectrum of from 200 nm to 500 nm of the crosslinking agent (C)).
