Abstract: The present application provides a video partitioning method, a video transmission method, a server, an adaptor and a storage medium. The method includes: generating, according to a bit stream of each sub-image tile of an encoded file of an original video, a corresponding video track which is encapsulated into a video file; parsing the video file to obtain video frame position information of each video track; and generating a virtual slicing information file according to a serial number of each sub-image tile of the encoded file and the video frame position information, and generating a video playback index file according to the serial number of each sub-image tile.
