    摘要: Color ink sets for use in printer systems are provided and formulated to provide improved plain paper and special media performance while maintaining good printing characteristics. The inks and ink sets of the present invention exhibit excellent color performance and lightfastness across a range of media, robust K/Y bleed resistance on plain paper at fast print speeds, as well as excellent printability and reliability. A specific dye set for formulating yellow, magenta, and cyan inks comprises a mixture of acid yellow 23 (AY23) and direct yellow 132 (DY132), a mixture of a cyan dye compound having the formula: —(SO3H)2.7 CuPc—(SO2NH2)0.5 —(SO2NH(C2H4OH)0.8 wherein Pc represents a phthalocyanine nucleus and acid blue 9; and a magenta dye compound having formula: wherein Q is a cation.

Two solvents work in conjunction with each other: 3-hexyne-2,5-diol and 1,2-octanediol. These two solvents in combination improve printability in latex polymer-containing ink-jet inks. Such ink-jet inks also include one or more pigments and a vehicle comprising at least one organic, water-miscible solvent and water.

    摘要: An ink-jet ink composition is provided which includes at least one primary surfactant and at least one co-surfactant, with the co-surfactant having an HLB at least about 1.5 units higher than that of the primary surfactant. The co-surfactant imparts good wetting and cloud point characteristics to the ink-jet ink composition without sacrificing the bleed control achieved with the use of the low-HLB surfactant. The improvement in wetting and cloud point characteristics achieved in the practice of the invention enables ink-jet printers to effect high print quality in a cost-effective manner. A method for increasing the wettability and cloud point of an ink-jet ink by including at least one co-surfactant having an HLB is also provided.
