摘要: A fluid flow regulator for regulating flow in tubes of vacuum or blower systems is disclosed. The regulator has a body formed by shaping interconnecting first and second body parts that are movable relative to one another wherein in one position flow is allowed only through an inner conduit and in a second position allowing fluid to flow into or out of a secondary opening to regulate the flow along the inner conduit and a cage like guard surrounding the connection of the first and second body parts.

摘要: A transmitter device (210) and associated receiver device (211) providing a retransmission scheme for use in communications involving lossy media. The transmitter device (210) receives data packets (201) from a source and adds protection to selected subflows before delivering (203, 206) them to the receiver device (211). The receiver device (211) is able to remove the protection and process (207) the data packets further. The retransmission scheme introduces greater reliability on the lossy medium by restricting the retransmission (208, 209) to a particular link and to selected subflows of traffic in the connection between a source and a destination.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for communication system-level communication link bonding are disclosed. Multiple communication links provided by transceivers in communication link termination modules are configured as a bonding group to support an aggregate group communication traffic rate on another communication link. Through an internal communication mechanism in communication equipment, communication traffic received on the other communication link is distributed among those of the communication link termination modules which include transceivers for transferring communication traffic on the communication links in the bonding group. The bonding module also receives, from communication link termination modules, communication traffic to be sent on the other communication link.

摘要: An automatic pool cleaner of the type having an elongated body (11) with an inlet, a flexible seal (32) mounted on an end of the elongated body to bear against the surface of the wall or floor of the pool, a flip-flop valve (25) positioned adjacent the inlet (21) of the elongated body (11) and capable of moving back and forth between two extreme positions for controlling the flow of water through the elongated body and in so doing producing a “water hammer effect” which acts on the automatic pool cleaner to propel it across the surface and wherein the flip-flop valve includes a substantially wedge shaped hammer (25) formed by two spaced substantially triangular sides interconnected by a central body narrower than the sides and a continuous end surface (61) connecting respective ends of the substantially triangular side pieces such that the hammer has continuous sides and cavities between the sides due to the central body being narrower than the sides, the continuous end surface (61) having indentations (65) to be engaged by flow of water around the hammer (25) and into the inlet (21) of the elongated body (11) to aide the flip-flop action.

摘要: Network units (1) like access multiplexers comprise scheduling units (2,3,4) for scheduling frame-to-cell traffic. By making the buffering of cells in segmenting parts (3) per output interface (6,7,8) independent from the virtual connection (71,72,73) of that output interface (6,7,8) to be used, it is no longer necessary to have a buffer (31,32) per virtual connection (71,72,73). As a result, fewer buffers (31,32) are necessary, cell schedulers (41) in forwarding parts (4) can become less complex, and mutually different frame schedulers (25,26) in receiving parts (2) are no longer required. The network unit (1) according to the invention is migrated to a large extent. The frames comprise Ethernet frames, and the cells comprise asynchronous/non-asynchronous transfer mode cells. The receiving parts (2) comprise fewer queues, and the forwarding parts (4) become less complex. The number of virtual connections (71,72,73) per output interface (6,7,8) is no longer limited by the number of buffers (31,32).
