    摘要: A free radical curable liquid having a specific weight after curing measured at 25° C. of less than 1.00 g/cm3 including: a) one or more photoinitiators; b) one or more free radical polymerizable monomers or oligomers; and c) hollow particles and/or a free radical crosslinkable polymer selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutadiene, polymethylpentene, poly(ethylene-vinylacetate), poly(ethylene-ethyl acrylate) and poly(styrene-butadiene) and copolymers thereof; wherein at least the free radical crosslinkable polymer or at least one of the one or more free radical polymerizable monomers or oligomers includes one or more hydrolyzable groups which upon hydrolyzation form an acid group or salt thereof; and wherein the free radical curable liquid contains no more than 10 wt % of organic solvent.

    摘要: A method of making a lithographic printing plate including the steps of a) image-wise exposing a lithographic printing plate precursor including a light or heat sensitive coating on a support having a hydrophilic surface or which is provided with a hydrophilic layer, and b) processing the precursor consecutively with a first solution and a second solution thereby removing the coating from the support in the non-printing areas. The first and second solutions are provided by a cascade system such that the second solution overflows into the first solution and the first solution overflows into a container to be further treated as waste, and the second solution is regenerated by adding a replenishing solution or a mixture of replenishing solutions at a rate of at least 5 ml/m2 of treated precursor and at most 30 ml/m2 of treated precursor.

    摘要: A relief print master is created by a printhead that moves in a slow scan direction. The nozzles of the printhead jet droplets of a polymerisable liquid on a rotating drum. The different nozzles jet droplets simultaneously on different layers that have different diameters. As a result, the droplets jetted by different nozzles travel over different distances before landing. The effect of this is that the droplets undergo different position lag as they land on the different layers. By rotating the printhead in a plane that is orthogonal to the jetting direction this effect can be compensated for.
