摘要: An image processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit that acquires N-valued image data corresponding to an image including at least one object, and edge data indicating an edge area of the object, an image processing unit that generates M-valued (N>M≥2) quantized data where each of a plurality of pixels is associated with one of a value indicating that no dot is to be recorded and a value indicating that a dot is to be recorded, based on the acquired image data, using an image processing parameter, and a changing unit that changes at least one pixel among pixels that indicate the edge area of the object in the edge data and have the value indicating that no dot is to be recorded in the quantized data so that the at least one pixel has the value indicating that the dot is to be recorded.

摘要: Certain examples described herein relate to halftone level adjustment for Neugebauer Primaries (NPs). In certain examples, halftone levels for NPs are obtained for a halftone for printing an image. It is determined whether the halftone corresponds to a line or an area fill. The halftone levels may be adjusted in response to these levels exceeding a printing attribute threshold. The printing attribute threshold may be dependent on whether the halftone corresponds to a line or an area fill. The image may then be printed using the adjusted halftone levels.

摘要: There are provided a printing system, a method of generating a halftone processing rule, a method of acquiring a characteristic parameter, image processing device and method, a halftone processing rule, a halftone image, a method of manufacturing a printed material, an ink jet printing system, and a program which are capable of reducing an operation load of a user and acquiring a halftone processing rule appropriate for the printing system. A characteristic parameter acquisition chart (100) including a pattern for acquiring characteristic parameters related to characteristics of the printing system is output, and the output characteristic parameter acquisition chart (100) is read by image reading means. The characteristic parameters are acquired by analyzing the read image of the characteristic parameter acquisition chart (100), and halftone processing rules that define the processing contents of halftone processes used in the printing system are generated based on the acquired characteristic parameters.

摘要: A method and system create an image-based pattern color space for use in conjunction with rendering a print job. The pattern color space is defined, in a page description language, by a variable portion, a fixed portion, and a bounding shape. A procedure is defined for painting the variable and fixed portions within the bounding shape. The variable portion is based upon variable data associated with the print job and the fixed portion is an image associated with the print job such that a gloss mark is created in rendering the print job by painting a gloss mark font text symbol with the image of the print job, and a correlation mark is created in rendering the print job by painting a correlation mark font text symbol with the image of the print job.

The second halftone screen comprises a second plurality of amplitude modulated dots arranged according to a second plurality of rows, the second plurality of row being orientated in a second direction and comprising a second dot spacing. The first direction and the second direction define an angle of 45 degrees or less and a ratio of the second dot spacing to the first dot spacing is less than one.

摘要: A method of operating a three-dimensional object printer to form printed images on a surface of an object with increased color resolution includes generating a plurality of low-precision tone reproduction curves (TRCs) from a plurality of high-precision color conversion entries that are modified by a plurality of values in a one-to-one correspondence to the TRCs. The method further comprises generating modified contone image and halftone image data for each plane using one of the low-precision TRCs and forming the image from multiple printed layers of ink corresponding to the plurality of planes.

摘要: A method for color mapping is disclosed. A color mapping is generated based on an imaging model and a color model for an imaging device. The imaging model allows a set of perturbations to be modelled. A set of metamers is determined for one or more colors. For each metamer, at least the imaging model is used to estimate a color output with at least one modelled perturbation. The color outputs are used to select a metamer from the set to be used for the color mapping.

摘要: Provided are a control apparatus, an image processing method and a non-transitory recording medium. The control apparatus includes a raster-image processor and a hardware processor that judges whether each of multi-valued pixels forming a source image is colored in one of specific colors, controls the amount of color materials to be used in printing the source image together with a white base, by reducing pixel values of the multi-valued pixels forming the source image and the white base, and converts the multi-valued pixels into two-valued pixels corresponding to colors of the color materials of the source image and two-valued white pixels. The hardware processor uses a matrix of two-valued white pixels corresponding to each of the multi-valued pixels judged as being colored in one of the specific colors, to rearrange at least one of colored two-valued white pixels at colored or uncolored pixel positions in the matrix.
