    摘要: A resin composition for golf balls includes (a) an acid-containing copolymer having an amount of acid constituent per 100 wt % of the sum of monomer units in the copolymer that is from 1 to 30 wt %, and (b) an amine-containing polymer having a branched structure. The resin composition imparts golf balls with an excellent rebound resilience and also confers an outstanding durability to repeated impact and an outstanding scuff resistance, making it particularly useful as a cover material in golf balls.

    摘要: In a golf ball having a core composed of one or more layer, the outermost layer of the core is formed of a rubber composition containing an α,β-unsaturated metal carboxylate, and an envelope layer directly encasing the core is formed of a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin having a structure that includes α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymerization units. The infrared absorption spectra at surface sites on the outermost layer of the core, as measured by ATR FT-IR spectroscopy, satisfy a specific condition. The ball has an enhanced adhesion between the rubber-based core and the adjacent cover layer that is formed of an ionomer resin or other α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer-containing resin material.

This golf ball makes it possible for golfers who have a high head speed and ordinary golfers who do not to compete without relying excessively on superiority in terms of distance.

    摘要: In a golf ball having a core of at least one layer and a cover of at least one layer encasing the core, at least one layer of the cover is formed of a resin composition which includes (I) a polyurethane or a polyurea, (II) a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and (III) an aromatic vinyl elastomer. The thermoplastic polyester elastomer serving as component (II) and the aromatic vinyl elastomer serving component (III) have specific respective contents and properties, including Shore D hardnesses and rebound resiliences. The golf ball has an excellent controllability on approach shots without a loss of distance on driver shots. In addition, the scuff resistance and moldability are good.

    摘要: A golf ball having a cover with a plurality of dimples on the surface thereof is provided with a coat of mutually differing properties on dimple areas of the surface and on land areas between the dimples.     摘要: In a golf ball having a core, an intermediate layer and a cover, the core is formed primarily of a base rubber and has a diameter set in a specific range, and the intermediate layer and cover are each formed of resin materials. The core has an internal hardness such that, regarding the hardness at the core center, the hardnesses at positions located at 2 mm intervals from the core center outward up to 16 mm and the core surface hardness, the hardness differences therebetween are set within a specific range. The ball surface hardness is set so as to be higher than the surface hardness of the intermediate layer-encased sphere. This ball achieves a satisfactory distance on full shots not only with a driver, but also with a long iron or a middle iron, in addition to which it has an excellent durability to repeated impact.
