Abstract:
A theatre lighting apparatus comprising a base, a communications port, a processor, a memory, and a lamp housing is disclosed. The lamp housing may include a lamp, a reflector, an output lens, a motor, and a homogenizing lens. The homogenizing lens may be comprised of a plurality of radially arranged lenticular lenses. The processor may be programmed to enable a motor to vary a position of the homogenizing lens in relation to a position of the output lens. The homogenizing lens may be comprised of a first half and a second half, each of which may have a plurality of radially arranged lenticular lenses.
Abstract:
A multiparameter light is disclosed, which incorporates an LED (light emitting diode) tracking ring surrounding a main output lens. The LED tracking ring is capable of additive color mixing and in turn can simulate the color of the main projected light projecting from the main output aperture or output lens of the multiparameter light.
Abstract:
A theatrical apparatus including a first light source, a second light source and a third light source, a computer memory, and a computer processor. Each of the first, second, and third light sources may have current positions; and each may be configured to be remotely operated by the computer processor executing computer operating software to have its current position changed, independent of the other light sources. Data indicating the current position of each of the first, second, and third light sources, including a position count value for each of the first, second, and third light sources, is stored in the computer memory by the computer processor executing the computer operating software. The computer processor may be programmed by the computer operating software to use the position count values prevent collisions between the light sources.
Abstract:
A theater lighting apparatus including a plurality of light emitting modules or light emitting devices contained within a lamp housing each having a remotely controllable pan and tilt axis. The theater lighting apparatus is also capable of remotely positioning the lamp housing containing the plurality of light emitting modules. The theater lighting apparatus may include a base, and the lamp housing. The plurality of light emitting devices may include a first light emitting device which is individually remotely positionable to project a first light in a first direction, a second light emitting device which is individually remotely positionable to project a second light in a second direction, and a third light emitting device which is individually remotely positionable to project a third light in a third direction. The first direction, the second direction, and the third direction may be different from each other.
Abstract:
A light projector for operation during a show that contains theatrical haze. The light projector may include a light source, a lens, a fan, and a housing having an inner chamber. The lens may have a first side and a second side. The first side of the lens may be contained within the inner chamber of the housing. The second side the lens may be outside of the inner chamber of the housing. The fan may be configured to be operated to generate air flow inside the inner chamber of the housing. A substantial portion of the air flow may be directed to impinge upon the first side of the lens to cause de-fogging of theatrical haze condensate on the first side of the lens.

Abstract:
A multiparameter stage lighting apparatus is provided comprising a lamp housing, which may include a plurality of sets of light emitting diodes, each set of light emitting diodes having a plurality of colors, the plurality of sets of light emitting diodes forming an additive color mixing system. The multiparameter stage lighting apparatus may further include a plurality of pie shaped light emitting circuit boards, one light emitting circuit board for each set of the plurality of sets of light emitting diodes, each set of the plurality of sets of light emitting diodes mounted to its respective light emitting circuit board. The multiparameter stage lighting apparatus may further include a plurality of light emitting diode signaling circuit boards, one for each of the plurality of pie shaped light emitting circuit boards. Each of the plurality of light emitting diode signaling circuit boards may be connected to its corresponding pie shaped light emitting circuit boards by a corresponding one of a plurality of multiconductor cables.
Abstract:
A dichroic mixing flag for a multiparameter light is constructed that greatly improves the thermal shock tolerance of the flag and avoids having to use a more costly substrate material. The dichroic color mixing flag may be substantially circular in shape. The dichroic color mixing flag may be fixed to a mechanical component so that the flag cannot rotate with respect to the mechanical component. The dichroic color mixing flag may be fixed to the mechanical component so that the mechanical component can move the dichroic color mixing flag without moving any other dichroic color mixing flag.

Abstract:
An image projection lighting device is provided including a base, a communications port, a processor, a memory, and a lamp housing. A first image is stored in the memory. The image projection lighting device is configured to form a first sectional image from the first image stored in the memory and to project the first sectional image onto a projection surface as a component of a collage, in response to a first command and/or a second command.
