摘要: A bone reamer includes a first member having a first hub and a second member having a second hub. The first hub can extend along a first axis and have a pair of elongated cutting arms that are fixed to the first hub. The elongated cutting arms can extend along a second axis that is generally perpendicular relative to the first axis. The first hub can define a track thereon. The second hub can extend along a third axis. The second member can have a second pair of elongated cutting arms that are fixed to the second hub and extend along a fourth axis that is generally perpendicular to the third axis. The second member can have a track follower extending thereon and that is configured to slidably advance along the track causing the first and second members to move between a collapsed position and an expanded position.

摘要: Various parallax-free indicator devices, systems, and methods are disclosed. The indicator device may have a housing defining an aperture and a light source assembly at least partially disposed in the housing. The housing may be selectively securable via a fastener to an instrument in a selected orientation relative to the instrument. The light source assembly may have a light source operably coupled to a power source via a power circuit. The light source may be positioned within the housing to emit through the housing aperture. Upon activation, the light source assembly emits a parallax-free alignment indicator along an alignment axis that may have at least one of a selected angle and a selected displacement relative to a selected reference axis. The alignment indicator may guide a surgical procedure.

摘要: A patient-specific guiding system for guiding an instrument relative to a portion of an anatomical feature of a patient. The patient-specific guiding system includes a patient-specific guide. The guide includes a first portion having a first patient-specific inner surface that conforms to a first surface of the anatomical feature and an outer surface opposite the first patient-specific inner surface. The first portion also includes a guide surface for use in guiding the instrument relative to the anatomical feature. The guide also includes a second portion having a second patient-specific inner surface that conforms to a second surface of the anatomical feature and an outer surface opposite the second patient-specific inner surface. The second portion is removably connected to the first portion.

摘要: An orthopedic device for a shoulder joint includes a patient-specific alignment guide. The alignment guide includes a cap having a three-dimensional engagement surface customized in a pre-operative plan by computer imaging to be complementary and closely mate and conform to a humeral head of a proximal humerus of a patient. The alignment guide includes a tubular element extending from the cap and defining a longitudinal guiding bore for guiding an alignment pin at a patient-specific position and orientation determined in the pre-operative plan, and an orientation feature on the cap. The orientation feature is designed to orient the cap relative to the humeral head when the orientation feature is aligned with a landmark of the proximal humerus.

摘要: A guide for drilling a tunnel in a knee joint having intercondylar roof and tibial eminence. The guide can comprise a guide assembly having a positioning member including an inferior end, and a guide arm extending from the positioning member including a trochlear tip; and a drill sleeve having a body attached to the inferior end, an aperture extending along a drilling axis, and a distal end having a patient-specific surface configured to engage an anterior surface of the tibia. A method of producing a tibial tunnel can comprise inserting a trochlear tip of a guide arm between the tibial eminence and the intercondylar roof, adjusting a position of a positioning member connected to the guide arm, engaging a patient-specific tip of a drill sleeve connected to the positioning member with a surface of a tibia, and inserting a drill bit through the drill sleeve to drill a tibial tunnel.

摘要: Implementations described herein provide for a bone implant having a cylindrical member and an articulating member. The cylindrical member extends along an implant axis from a first end to an opposed second end thereof. The cylindrical member has a void disposed therein extending from the first end towards the second end. The cylindrical member has an interconnected open-pore structure for promoting bone tissue in-growth. The articulating member has an articulating portion and a core portion extending away from the articulating portion. The articulating member is coupled to the cylindrical member such that the core portion extends into the void disposed in the cylindrical member and the articulating portion is positioned adjacent the first surface of the cylindrical member and extends radially outward from the implant axis to cover the first surface of the cylindrical member.
