摘要: An anchoring system includes an anchor including an anchor body and a distal member located at a distal end of the anchor body, the distal member having a suture receiving aperture; and an implant delivery device, comprising: a cannulated outer shaft, the cannulated outer shaft configured to engage a proximal end of the anchor body for driving the anchor into a bore; and an inner shaft slidably received in the cannulated outer shaft, wherein a distal end of the inner shaft is extendable distally beyond a distal end section of the cannulated outer shaft such that, when the cannulated outer shaft is engaging the proximal end of the anchor body, the distal end of the inner shaft is extendable through the anchor body to a distance beyond the distal end of the anchor body to engage a suture located within the suture receiving aperture, wherein the anchoring system is configured such that the suture can be tensioned at a location within the bore distal from the anchor body before the anchor body is implanted within the bore.

摘要: A method of implanting a hip joint prosthesis into a patient can include obtaining image data of hip joint anatomy of the patient. Physical activities that the patient desires to participate in subsequent to implanting the hip prosthesis can be determined. A size and an initial placement of the hip joint prosthesis based on the image data can be determined. A desired range of motion of the hip joint prosthesis based on the determined physical activities can be determined. A plan can be created comprising a desired implanted location of the hip joint prosthesis and based on the desired range of motion. The plan can be incorporated onto a guide. The plan can be executed with the guide thereby implanting the hip joint prosthesis into the patient at the desired implanted position.

摘要: The present teachings provide one or more surgical implements for repairing damaged tissue, such as cartilage on the femoral head. A microfracture pick system for repairing cartilage on a femoral head is provided. The system can include a handle having a proximal end and a distal end. The system can also include an arcuate arm shaped to extend from the distal end of the handle and adapted to extend around the femoral head. The arcuate arm can have a distal tip extending toward the handle along a longitudinal axis of the handle. The system can also include an impaction member at the proximal end of the handle.

摘要: A trial system for a prosthesis is described. The prosthesis can include an acetabular prosthesis generally for implantation in an acetabulum and the surrounding pelvis. The acetabular prosthesis includes an acetabular cup having a substantially concave inner surface and a substantially convex outer surface. One trial shell or a collection of trial shells are provided to trial a range of motion of the hip joint before implanting a shell prosthesis into the acetabular prosthesis.

The patient-specific guide includes a three-dimensional contact surface preoperatively configured from medical scans of a specific patient as a negative surface of a medial portion of a proximal femoral bone of the patient according to a preoperative surgical plan for the patient. The guide also includes a proximal planar surface configured for guiding a resection of a femoral neck of the patient, and a scale formed on the planar surface. The scale is configured for indicating a preoperatively planned femoral version of a femoral stem implant and deviations therefrom.

摘要: An acetabular device includes a patient-specific acetabular alignment guide including a bone engagement surface. The bone engagement surface has a first portion configured and shaped to be conforming and complementary to an acetabular rim surface and a second portion configured and shaped to be conforming and complementary to a periacetabular area of an acetabulum of a patient. The acetabular alignment guide includes a plurality of guiding formations extending through the second portion for guiding a plurality of alignment pins therethrough. The bone engagement surface and the plurality of guiding formations are prepared from a three-dimensional model of the acetabulum of the specific patient reconstructed pre-operatively from a scan of the patient.

The insert can include a second elongated slot that extends in a second direction different than the first direction. The second elongated slot can be configured to slidably receive a bone fastener and guide the bone fastener through the passage of the acetabular cup at a selected angle.
