    摘要: The pitch/tension device is a device to determine the tension, in pounds, in a taut string or strings, such as a tennis racket.There are two methods of determining the tension. In the first method, the pitch/tension device is first adjusted for racket type or size, and string gauge. The racket is then plucked, or otherwise sound, and the audio pitch emanating from the pitch/tension device is adjusted to approximate the pitch of the racket, wherein the tension of the racket is displayed. In the second method, the known racket tension at some previous time, such as at restringing, is set into the pitch/tension device as follows: the racket is plucked, or otherwise sounded, the tone emanating from the pitch/tension device is brought into agreement with the pitch of the plucked strings, the display is adjusted to agree with the known racket tension, and this setting is recorded. The present racket tension is determined by adjusting the pitch/tension device to this setting, plucking the strings, bringing the tone emanating from the pitch/tension device into agreement with the pitch of the plucked strings, and reading the tension on the display.

    摘要: A roller skate has a compression spring for each of a plurality of rollers for passing over relatively rough terrain. A compression rod having a cylindrical top portion bears against the compression spring in each cylindrical hole placed vertically in the skate body. A middle part of the compression rod has flat sides that define a width that is more narrow than the diameter of the cylindrical portion. The lower part of the compression rod is u-shaped and contains the roller, roller axle, and roller bearings. The upper rod fits comfortable in the vertical hole and is held in the skate body by lateral plates adjacent the flat sides of the middle portion of the compression rods.

    摘要: The adjustable windmobile allows the mobilist to maintain a stable center of gravity by manually adjusting both the seat and mast to their respective opposite sides when the direction of motion of the windmobile is reversed. Both the seat and mast base are encased in crosspieces, that are part of the frame, that allow the seat and mast to be slid to the opposite sides. There are four mast halyards, a fore halyard, a stern halyard, and two midships halyards. Under sail only three halyards are taut while the fourth, a midships halyard hangs loose. When readjusting the mast to the other side, the halyards do not have to be readjusted.

    摘要: The alarm circuit is for detecting the theft of a vehicle and receives its power from the vehicle storage battery. The grounded battery cable is passed through a ferromagnetic toroid having one or more turns of wire wound thereon. An oscillator circuit couples to the toroid and establishes an AC voltage across the coil of wire. If the vehicle is entered the grounded battery cable draws current either from an illuminated light or from the ignition circuit causing a decrease in the voltage across the coil. This decrease in voltage is detected and an alarm is generated.
