    Abstract: An oil filter for an oil filtration system. The filter is configured for insertion into an oil filtration unit. The filter comprises a central opening extending along a central axis of the filter, at least one second physical structure having a second cross sectional shape and a predefined longitudinal length in relation to the central axis of the filter, and an inner periphery of the second physical structure being arranged to mate with the outer periphery of the first physical structure allowing the filter to reach its correct insertion position in the oil filtration unit by the second physical structure at least partly surrounding the first physical structure. The end surface of the filter relative to the central axis of the filter comprises the second physical structure, and the second physical structure comprises a material configured to serve as a filtering material of the filter.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensing unit for monitoring the condition of a liquid, the sensing unit comprising at least one sensor and an evaluation unit. The sensing unit is adapted to measure two or more parameters of the liquid by use of at least one sensor, where the parameters relate to at least liquid degradation or wear debris particle generation. The at least one sensor is adapted to provide at least two signals, each signal providing its values in a fashion suitable for developing a mean value and a variance different from zero over a course of at least two measurements. The evaluation unit is adapted to correlate the measured signals, and to evaluate the condition of the liquid by comparing the measured at least two parameters. Thereby, a reliable monitoring system giving continual feed-back on the performance of the lubricant and the machine in an auto-correlated manner is obtained, thus allowing continual adjustments to improve uptime and machine life.

    Abstract: A system and method for separating parts of a liquid based or depending on gas content is disclosed herein. The system, in an embodiment, comprises a pressure chamber, an inlet through which liquid is pumped into said chamber, a first liquid outlet connected to an upper part of said pressure chamber, and a second liquid outlet connected to a lower part of said pressure chamber. The first and second liquid outlets comprise a first valve element and a second valve element, respectively, that are configured to control the pressure inside said pressure chamber. While under pressure, a first subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the first liquid outlet, and a second subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the second liquid outlet. The first subpart has a greater percentage of gas content than the percentage of gas content, if any, in the second subpart.

    Abstract: According to the invention, a system for separating gas from a liquid is proposed. The system comprises a pressure chamber, said pressure chamber comprising an inlet through which liquid is pumped into said chamber, and wherein said pressure chamber further comprises a first liquid outlet connected to an upper part of said pressure chamber comprising a first valve element and a second liquid outlet connected to a lower part of said pressure chamber comprising a second valve element. Said first and second valve elements are adapted to control the pressure inside said pressure chamber, whereby, while under pressure, a subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the first and second liquid outlets, respectively, and wherein a main part of the gas content is in the subpart flowing through the first liquid outlet. Thereby, liquid having a certain gas content will be separated into two subparts in a fast and easy way. where the first subpart comprises a main part of the gas content and the second subpart comprises liquid being essentially free of gas. The pressurisation within the pressure chamber decreases the time it takes to achieve such separation. Further, the provision of valves and outlet allows controlling the separation process and further allows the outlet of a liquid having a main part of the gas content and the outlet of liquid being essentially gas-free. Further, the provision of valves allows a continuous process, such that the system may be incorporated into running processes, e.g. a running engine.

The pump in the feed-line is a first stage of a multiple-stage gear pump. The back-pressure mechanism in the discharge-line is a second stage of the multiple-stage gear pump.     Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil filtration system for off-line filtering of contaminated oil from diesel machinery (1), the oil filtration system comprising a system inlet (4) for receiving an inlet flow of contaminated oil from the diesel machinery (1), a system outlet (5) for releasing an outlet flow of filtered oil to the diesel machinery (1), an oil filtration unit which is in fluid communication with the system inlet (4) and the system outlet (5), the oil filtration unit comprising an oil filter (6) which is adapted to receive the contaminated oil and to release the filtered oil, a pumping unit (7) which is arranged upstream of the oil filtration unit, the pumping unit (7) being adapted to provide a flow of contaminated oil in a direction from the system inlet (4) to the oil filtration unit, a temperature sensor (13) for measuring an oil temperature, the temperature sensor (13) comprising a signal transmitter adapted to transmit a first electrical signal reflecting the measured oil temperature, and a control unit (14) adapted to receive the first electrical signal, to compare the measured oil temperature with at least one reference temperature, and to adjust the pumping flow rate of the pumping unit (7) according to the comparison of the measured oil temperature and the at least one reference temperature, where the temperature sensor (13) is positioned upstream from the oil filter (6) in order to measure the oil temperature of the contaminated oil immediately before it is received by the oil filter (6). The invention further relates to a method for off-line filtering of contaminated oil from diesel machinery (1).
