摘要： Methods and agents for extracting cesium and strontium ions from aqueous solutions, including aqueous fission product waste solutions, are disclosed using substituted metal dicarbollide ions containing one or more chemical groups that increase solubility of the substituted metal dicarbollide ion in non-nitrated, non-chlorinated solvents, or using metal dicarbollide ion-substituted silicones.

摘要： There is disclosed a roller suitable for the application of coloring materials onto a surface, comprising (I) an inner core of a material which does not substantially swell in aqueous solutions, (II) an outer surface including (1) copolymers of acrylonitrile with at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylamide, methacrylamide, ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acids, ethylene sulfonic acid, salts of said acids and compatible mixtures thereof and (2) at least one swelling agent selected from the group consisting of C1-4 alkylene and polyalkylene glycols and their methoxy and ethoxy derivatives, glycerol and acetyl derivatives thereof, (a) phenols, aromatic alcohols, hydroaromatic alcohols, C1-14 aliphatic alcohols, esters and ethers of (a), (b) fatty acids and salts and esters of (b), methods of producing same and articles produced therefrom.
