摘要： A combination of a carton and a plurality of containers. The carton comprises first and second parallel spaced-apart side walls. First and second parallel spaced-apart end wells adjoin the first and second side walls to form a four sided enclosure having a bottom side and top side. The first and second side walls and the first and second end walls form a bottom wall closure extending over the bottom side. The first and second side walls and the first and second end walls extend over the top side forming a top closure to provide a six-sided enclosed space. A first insert is disposed in the enclosed space and extends over the bottom closure and is supported by the bottom closure. A plurality of containers is disposed within enclosed space and engages the first insert. A second insert overlies and engages the containers. The first and second inserts engage the tops and bottoms of the containers for retaining the containers in spaced-apart positions out of engagement with each other and in spaced-apart positions with respect to the first and second side walls and first and second end walls thereby preventing engagement of the containers with respect to each other and with respect to the first and second side walls and the first and second end walls of the carton during movement of the carton with the containers therein.

摘要： A combination of a customized bottle and a closure. The bottle has a neck with an interior circumferential surface defining a throat with a longitudinal axis and having an end face, at least a portion of which is inclined with respect to an imaginary plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The closure has a head and a cylindrical shank extending from the head and has a cross-sectional area less than that of the head and having a longitudinal axis extending through the shank and having a cross-sectional area which is less than that of the cross-sectional area of the throat in the neck of the bottle. The head has a surface facing toward the shank and has a portion thereof which is inclined with respect to an imaginary plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shank and which is complementary to the inclined surface on the face of the neck. O-ring seals are carried by the shank for forming a sealing engagement with respect to the outer surface of the shank and the interior surface of the neck and providing a frictional engagement which is greater than the force which can be applied by a human to the closure for removal of the same until at least a portion of said O-ring seals has cleared the inner surface of the neck to thereafter permit removal of the closure by a human hand pulling on the closure to complete opening of the bottle.

摘要： A packaging container/case is formed of two cooperating cartons, the cartons formed of similar or identical blanks. Each carton includes a first major panel and an opposite second major panel, with a first major panel extension extending from the first major panel. The two cartons are joined by securing each first major panel extension to the second major panel of the other carton, providing unbroken major panels for the assembled case. The minor panels/ends are also unbroken. Each extended first major panel and extension includes an unbroken upper closure flap extending the length of the panel and extension, which with the minor panel closure flaps extending from the top of the opposed ends of each carton, provides conventional upper closure for the assembled case which can be sealed using standard packaging machinery. The bottom closure flaps are conventional each carton of the case, although the upper closure may be applied to the lower closure flaps if so desired. The resulting coplanar flap surfaces, with the unbroken sides of the assembled case, provide stacking and compact storage of such cases as required. Tear strips and/or score lines may be formed vertically down the center of the extended major panels and panel extensions, to provide for separation of the two cartons forming the case without need for tools. Preferably, the two cartons are equal in size and rectangular. However, the present construction may also be applied to two mating cartons of unequal size and/or congruent trapezoidal shape.

The carrier is formed of a one-piece member formed of a non-plastic material formed into first and second halves adjoining each other at a first fold line. Each half is comprised of counting from the first fold line a handle segment forming the first fold line, a first side wall segment adjoining the handle segment at a second fold line and having first and second side margins, a bottom wall segment adjoining the first side wall segment along a third fold line, a second side wall segment adjoining the bottom wall segment along a fourth fold line and having first and second side edges, first and second end wall segments adjoining respectively the first and second side edges of the second side wall segment. An interlocking tab assembly is carried by the first and second end margins and the first and second side margins for fastening together the first and second end wall segments of one half to the corresponding first and second end wall segments of the other half after the first and second end wall segments have been folded along the fold lines with the wall segments aligned in planes parallel to each other. The handle segments have holes therein adapted to receive the fingers of the hand.

摘要： A flexible protective article for engaging a surface of a product for protecting the product from shock during shipment comprising a member formed of a sheet of material of molded pulp having a substantially uniform thickness throughout. The member has a plurality of generally parallel spaced apart flutes formed therein of a substantially uniform thickness extending at an angle between 15.degree. and 75.degree. with respect to a first imaginary plane extending through the flutes and extending inwardly and outwardly with respect to the first imaginary plane. Each of the flutes in a normal unloaded position has first and second legs angled with respect to each other and terminating in an apex. The first leg has a first length and the second leg has a second length. The second length is less in length than the first length. The first and second legs extend at angles on the same side of a second imaginary plane extending perpendicular to the first imaginary plane and extending through the apex. The apex is rounded to provide rounded apices on the plurality of flutes. The flutes are capable of bending from the normal unloaded position through the second imaginary plane and serving as shock absorbing dampers to absorb shock forces applied to the product when the foldable protective article is disposed between the product and the shipping container by being capable of bending during absorption of shock forces and springing back after the shock forces have passed.
