摘要： A formulation having a slightly water soluble ingredient and method for preparing the same are disclosed. The millbase formulation comprises a slightly water soluble ingredient and a dispersant comprising a water soluble or water dispersible, derivative of an alternating copolymer or a salt thereof. The alternating copolymer comprises a residue of a first comonomer and a residue of a second comonomer. In addition, the first comonomer comprises an α,β-unsaturated oxyacid, or an anhydride or other derivative thereof. Moreover, the second comonomer comprises an olefinic compound containing one or more polymerizable double bonds, or a derivative thereof. Such formulations may be used to inhibit Ostwald ripening in agricultural as well as non-agricultural applications.

摘要： Provided herein are polyamine precursors useful in the manufacture of epoxy resins. Use of a polyamine precursor according to the invention provides an epoxy resin formulation having an increased working time over prior art amines used for curing epoxies. Increased working times translate to the ability to manufacture composites which could not be made using conventional epoxy curing agents, such as composite blades for wind-driven turbines. Such polyamines are also useful in polyurea formulations for lengthening reaction time, thus allowing more flow of applied polyurea coatings prior to gellation.

In addition, the detergents of the present invention are prepared using alkylbenzene mixtures which have substantially-reduced benzene content over materials provided by the prior art. The invention provides compositions which are useful in formulating lubricants, motor oils, and the like.

摘要： Processes for forming butyric acid are provided. In one process, maleic anhydride is formed by oxidizing a hydrocarbon containing gas. The maleic anhydride is then hydrogenated in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst to form butyric acid. The selectivity of maleic anhydride to butyric acid is at least about 35 molar percent.
