摘要： A composition including a first component containing at least one polyol and at least one compound having at least one reactive group of the formula (I), and a second component containing at least one aromatic polyisocyanate and/or at least one polymer containing aromatic isocyanate groups. The composition has a long open time and, even in the case of small amounts of compound having at least one reactive group of the formula (I), enables elastic coatings having improved mechanical properties without causing problems with odor emissions or migration effects. It is thus particularly suitable as a coating for floors or roof areas.

摘要： A one-part moisture-curing liquid-applied waterproofing membrane as disclosed includes a polyurethane polymer obtained from at least one polyether polyol and at least one diisocyanate, and an aldimine of the formula (I). The membrane has a long shelf life stability with both aromatic and aliphatic isocyanates, a low viscosity at low solvent content, a sufficiently long open time to allow hand application and cures fast to a solid elastic material of high strength and high elongation. The released aldehyd is non-toxic and low flammable and evaporates quickly out of the membrane causing only minimal odour emission. The membrane has high crack-bridging qualities in a broad temperature range and is easily overcoatable without interlayer adhesion problems, which makes it particularly suitable for roofing applications.

The aqueous thermosetting composition of the present invention contains both an amino resin and a urethane resin in a one-pack hardener, and the respective performances of the resins can be retained without any deterioration. Further, the aqueous thermosetting composition exhibits favorable dispersibility in water and excels in storage stability, so that it is useful in a wide spectrum of application fields, such as paint, ink, adhesive, coating material, binder and primer.

摘要： A method of making a solid, crosslinked polymer by performing a reaction in a mixture of: 1) an imine selected from polyaldimines, hydroxyaldimines, polyketimines, and hydroxyketimines; 2) a polyisocyanate; and 3) a hydroxyl compound, if the imine is not a hydroxyimine. The imine and the hydroxyl compound are the only isocyanate-reactive compounds in the mixture. The hydroxyl compound is an alcohol, a glycol, or a polyol. The polymer comprises urea linkages formed from the imine and polyisocyanate and urethane linkages formed from the hydroxyl group of the hydroxyimine or the hydroxyl compound and the polyisocyanate, and the molar ratio of urea linkages to urethane linkages is at least 2:1. The reaction is performed in the absence of solvent.
