    摘要: A latch device for sliding windows includes a casing fixed to a sliding window and having a latch member movably received in the casing. The latch member is biased by a spring and includes two latches. A driving assembly includes a driving member from which an eccentric protrusion extends which is movably engaged with a plate of the latch member. The latch member retractably retracted through a front wall of the casing by operating the driving assembly when opening the window. The latch member includes an inclined surface which allows the latch member to be automatically retracted when closing the window without operating the handle.

    摘要: A window lock with an automatic latch retention mechanism and an associated method of securing adjustable frame members of a window are provided. The lock generally includes a housing that can be secured to a first window frame member, a latch member slidably mounted in the housing, a rotatably handle configured to actuate the latch member, and a retention mechanism configured to automatically retain the latch member in the retracted position until the first and second window frame members are relatively adjusted to a closed configuration. The lock can automatically adjust to a locked configuration when the window is closed and remain in an unlocked configuration while being adjusted. The rotatable handle, which can be used to retract the latch member, is configured to provide an indication of the configuration of the lock so that a user can easily identify whether the lock is locked or unlocked.

    摘要: An anti-panic lock assembly for a door and associated methods are provided. The lock assembly can be used to secure the door to a keeper structure mounted in a jamb of a door frame so that the assembly can be adjusted by first and second handles extending from the opposite sides of the door. The lock assembly generally includes a latch assembly with a latch member and a deadbolt assembly with a deadbolt member for engaging the keeper structure. The latch member is configured to be adjusted by a rotation of the handles between its extended and retracted positions. The deadbolt member is configured to be adjusted by a rotation of a deadbolt handle and a key lock mechanism between its extended and retracted positions. The assembly can be installed to provide an anti-panic feature from a select side of the door, by using a selective connection feature to selectively link one of the handles to the deadbolt assembly. In a first configuration, the first handle can be configured to adjust the deadbolt assembly to an unlocked configuration while the second handle is locked. In a second configuration, the second handle can be configured to adjust the deadbolt assembly to an unlocked configuration while the first handle is locked.

    摘要: A latch assembly connected to a lock face of a sliding door includes two hooks which are connected to two activation plates respectively. Two rotation gears each have teeth engaged with the activation plates which are moved to pivot the two hooks when the two gears are rotated. A safety member is biased by a spring and includes a contact pin which movably extends through the lock face on the sliding door so that the safety member is pushed when the contact pin is pushed by a fixed door when the sliding door is in close position. The safety member further has an engaging pin which is removably engaged with the recess of the activation plate so that when the sliding door is in open position, the activation plate cannot be moved and the hooks are remained in the sliding door.

    摘要: An anti-panic lock assembly for a door and associated methods are provided.
