A credit handler module translates generic payment instruction messages to and from specific payment functionality messages as used by the different payment mechanisms and also applies any transaction processing logic that is required consequent on the particular domain of operation of the entertainment device, e.g. legal requirements. Thus, locally applicable requirements relating to credit handling operations in the real and virtual environment of the entertainment device can be implemented without modifying content executables.

    摘要: An apparatus and method are provided for creating a plurality of different video presentations that simulate a broadcasted game of chance. The game of chance has a plurality of successive stages, including a betting stage during which players enter bets for the game of chance, and a game play stage. The game play stage begins at the end of the betting stage and ends with a game outcome. A memory stores a plurality of video fragments associated with a game of chance. The video fragments include a first set of video fragments that are associated with the betting stage, and a second set of video fragments that are associated with the game play stage. At least some of the video fragments have a plurality of different video takes that represent the same video fragment. The second set of video fragments include a game outcome video fragment. The game outcome video fragment includes a plurality of different video takes that represent different game outcomes. A controller creates a first seamless, ordered string of stitched video fragments using the first set of video fragments for presentation to players during the betting stage. The first set of video fragments are selected using a Random Number Generator (RNG), the RNG being used to select one of the video takes for each of the first set of video fragments that have a plurality of different video takes that represent the same video fragment. Upon conclusion of the betting stage, the RNG is used to select the outcome of the game. The outcome of the game is thereby not known during the betting stage. The controller creates a second seamless, ordered string of stitched video fragments using the second set of video fragments for presentation to players during the game play stage. The second set of video fragments are also selected using the Random Number Generator (RNG), the RNG being used to select one of the video takes for each of the second set of video fragments that have a plurality of different video takes that represent the same video fragment. The video take that is selected for the video fragment associated with the game outcome is determined by the RNG which selected the outcome of the game. The controller combines the first and second seamless, ordered string of stitched video fragments to provide the video presentation that simulates the broadcasted game of chance.

    摘要: It is known for a gaining machine to issue a ticket or voucher having a value or an associated value as credit. It is a problem that such information carriers may become lost or stolen and subsequently redeemed by others. In the disclosed method, a player first registers and provides a first code to a gaming establishment and a value of credit available with which to play. A ticket is issued with a generated second code. On inserting the ticket in a gaming machine, prior to gaming being permitted, the gaming machine detects the second code and requires the player to enter the first code. The gaming machine validates the codes at the machine against corresponding codes stored elsewhere and permits gaming only when at least one of the codes matches. Thus, a ticket in accordance with the present invention will not be suitable for use other than by the player to whom the information carrier belongs since a third party will not have access to either the player provided code or the generated ticket code.

    摘要: A plurality of wager data is stored from a plurality of individual wagers in a true parimutuel or “Class II” Bingo draw game in a plurality of structures using n number of non-volatile data storage devices, and a volatile data storage device. The wager data for each individual wager includes wager selection, wager amount, draw game identifier, and a unique wager identifier. A mathematical operation is performed on at least a portion of wager data for each of the individual wagers which causes the plurality of wager data to be distributed among n sets. The wager data for each of the individual wagers is stored in the nth non-volatile data storage device as distributed among the n sets. After the wager data is stored in the n non-volatile data storage devices, at least a portion of the wager data for each of the individual wagers is stored in the volatile data storage device. The stored portion of the wager data includes at least the wager selection, and the unique wager identifier.

The gaming system is set up such that in the event of the first outcome the game outcome generator is caused to determine and show one of the plurality of chance game outcomes and wagers placed by a player are settled based on the nominal value of each placed token in accordance with the set of predefined wagering rules; in the event of the second outcome the pre-determined wagered amount is lost; the feature entry probability is determined by a calculation that takes account of the ratio of the pre-determined wagered amount to the total nominal value of each placed token. A gaming method is also described. The game is for example roulette.
