摘要： A system, method, and computer program product for utilizing an ultrasonic sensor compensating for the physical conditions of an internal battery compartment (e.g., temperature and/or humidity), to detect a hazardous battery condition, is provided. An example system includes a battery case defining an internal battery compartment and one or more battery cells contained in the internal battery compartment. The example system further includes an acoustic transmitter disposed within the internal battery compartment and configured to transmit an acoustic signal. In addition, the example system includes an acoustic receiver also disposed within the internal battery compartment and positioned to receive the transmitted acoustic signal. The example system monitors the time of flight of the acoustic signal and detects the hazardous battery condition of the one or more battery cells based on a change in the time of flight of the acoustic signal.
