Abstract: A consumable (2) configured to be releasably received by an aerosol provision device (4) from an aerosol provision system (1) for generating an aerosol. The consumable (2) comprises a first reservoir (31) for storing a first aerosol-generating material, and an aerosol generator (40) configured to generate an aerosol using the first aerosol-generating material from the first reservoir (31). The consumable also comprises a base portion 75 comprising a plurality of electrodes (46A: 46B) for transferring electrical power to the aerosol generator. The base portion (75) further comprises a control electrode (83) which is configured to be selectively engaged for implementing a predetermined operation from the aerosol provision system (1).

Abstract: An inductive heating assembly for generating an aerosol from an aerosol precursor material in an aerosol provision system, the inductive heating assembly including: a susceptor; and a drive coil arranged to induce current flow in the susceptor to heat the susceptor and vaporize aerosol precursor material in proximity with a surface of the susceptor, and wherein the susceptor includes regions of different susceptibility to induced current flow from the drive coil, such that when in use the surface of the susceptor in the regions of different susceptibility are heated to different temperatures by the current flow induced by the drive coil.

Abstract: An aerosol provision device includes a heating assembly arranged to receive at least a portion of an article containing aerosol generating material. The device also has a power supply; a first housing enclosing at least part of the heating assembly and a second housing enclosing at least part of the power supply. A thermal conduction arrangement is provided in thermal contact between the first housing and the second housing to dissipate heat from the first housing to the second housing.
