    摘要: A tool holder includes a tubular body having a shank on a first axial end portion, a tool gripping portion on a second axial end portion, and an elastic segment interposed between the shank and the tool gripping portion in the axial direction of the body. The elastic segment is more elastically deformable along the axial direction and around a circumferential direction of the tubular body than the shank and the tool gripping portion owing to a plurality of voids that extend through the elastic segment from an outer peripheral side of the tubular body to an inner peripheral side of the tubular body. Each of the voids includes segments that extend around the circumferential direction and along the axial direction of the tubular body.

When the rotary member is rotated in one direction, the first movable member moves toward an oil-filled closed space (121) and the clamping device is set to a clamping mode that will hold a tool holder (510). On the other hand, when the rotary member is rotated in the opposite direction, the first movable member moves towards the side opposite of the oil-filled closed space and the clamping device is set to an unclamping mode that will release the tool holder.

    摘要: A body member (110) of a coolant medium spray device (100) is attachable to a main shaft (10) of a machine tool. A rotating part of a pump (300) is connected to the body member. The body member and the rotating part are rotatably supported within an interior space of a support part, which may be constituted by a cover (210), a case (220) and a ring member (225). When the body member is attached to the main shaft, the support part is also fixed to the machine tool so that the support part is non-rotatable relative to the machine tool. In this state, cooling medium that is being supplied via the main shaft is pressurized by the pump and then sprayed out of a spray port (242) of a nozzle (240) that is mounted in a nozzle mounting hole (231) of a cap (230) affixed to the support part.

    摘要: A tool holder (100) holds a tool (170) in a non-rotatable manner. When an attaching surface (112a) of a body part (110, 120, 150) of the tool holder is attached to a tool holder attachment surface of a machine tool, cooling medium supplied from the machine tool flows through a first body part passage (114, 124). Then, a rotary member (130) is rotationally driven by a drive mechanism provided in the machine tool. When a rotary part of a pump (200) rotates with the rotary member, the pressure of the cooling medium suctioned into the pump is proportionally increased in accordance with the rotational speed of the rotary part, and pressurized cooling medium is discharged from an outlet part (202) of the pump. The pressurized cooling medium then flows through a second body part passage (115, 125) and is thereafter sprayed from a spray hole (161) of a nozzle (160).

An extended chamber (123d) is defined between the sleeve outer peripheral surface and the body member inner peripheral surface, fluidly communicates with the pressurizing chamber and extends in an axial direction and in a circumferential direction. The extended chamber curtails radially inward elastic deformation of a portion of the body member inner peripheral surface, which corresponds to one of the grip parts, when a pressing force is received on a body member outer peripheral surface (112).
