摘要: A connector seal pack spacer and assembly are employed for use in a fluid line quick connector in an automotive application, for instance. The spacer is located beside an o-ring in installation in the fluid line quick connector. The spacer is designed and constructed with an angled surface that, upon insertion of a spigot in the fluid line quick connector, works to maintain an intended position of the o-ring in the fluid line quick connector. Unwanted mispositioning and dislodging of the o-ring is hence minimized and, in some cases, altogether precluded.

摘要: A clamp includes a closure mechanism and a band. The clamp can be a v-insert clamp. The band has a first metal layer and a second metal layer. The metal layers constitute a bi-metallic construction of the band. The metal layers can be composed of different stainless steel materials. The first metal layer possesses a first coefficient of thermal expansion, and the second metal layer possesses a second coefficient of thermal expansion. Values of the first coefficient of thermal expansion and of the second coefficient of thermal expansion differ relative to each other. The difference in value of the first and second coefficients of thermal expansion, and the position of the first and second metal layers relative to each other, can be effected in order to impart desired behavior of the band when experiencing a change in temperature.

The fluid line quick connector has a retainer assembly with a primary latch and a secondary latch. A data matrix is provided, and can be in the form of a quick response (QR) code, as an example. In use, when the secondary latch is in the open position, the data matrix is partially or more concealed. And when the secondary latch is in the closed position, the partial or more concealment is absent and the data matrix can be properly read.

摘要: A v-clamp provides an enhanced axial load to tubular body end flanges in order to establish a fluid-tight joint therebetween. The v-clamp, according to an example, has a v-angle that varies in value over a section or more of a band of the v-clamp. The varying v-angle has been shown to effect an axial load that is more evenly and uniformly applied around a circumference of the v-clamp and to the underlying tubular body end flanges. Furthermore, in an example, the tubular body end flanges have a partially spherical shape.

摘要: A fuel line connector assembly that includes a connector, collar, and insert. The connector has a first interconnector, and the collar has a second interconnector and is constructed for attachment to a conduit of a fuel line assembly. The connector, collar, and insert are connectable together such that the first interconnector of the connector and the second interconnector of the collar engage each other along a generally axial direction and secure the connector and collar together. The insert has a keeper and, upon circumferential rotation of the insert, the keeper interacts with the first and second interconnectors and holds their engagement and maintains securement between the connector and collar. A cover having one or more actuating buttons fits over the collar and insert to enable disengagement of the insert and collar so the insert can be rotated to permit disconnection of the collar from the connector.

摘要: A pipe clamp that includes a band, tightening mechanism for the band, a split sleeve within the band, and gasket located inside a circumferential channel in the split sleeve. The split sleeve includes a tongue-and-groove joint in which the tongue has at least one side edge that confronts and engages a side edge of the groove during penetration of the tongue into the groove in response to tightening of the outer band using the fastening mechanism. This provides a metal-to-metal seal at the tongue-and-groove joint. The relative construction of the tongue and groove is such that during penetration of the tongue into the groove, there are areas of spaced separation between the confronting side edges of the tongue and groove. Also, during tightening, the gasket is forced into these areas of spaced separation which provides a second, gasketed seal at the tongue-and-groove joint.
