摘要： A method of filling containers with bulk material wherein a bag is filled, weighed and densified at the same time. The bag is supported on a releasable hanger. The bag is constantly weighed, and a predetermined quantity of material is placed in the bag. The bag is raised and lowered and vibrated to settle, or densify, the material while the material is being admitted to the bag. The bag may be vibrated while being filled by counter-rotating vibrators. The material is weighed and the net weight is determined. The method of the present invention can be used for filling drums, boxes and other containers, as well as bags. Specific designed power operated hooks are used to support the bag. The containers are supported on a platform. Drums as well as bags can be filled without any change in the machine requiring tools. A three piece spout is used to fill bags and a drum head adapter is supported on the spout to fill drums.

摘要： A shaker having a hollow housing in the form generally of two hollow cylinders with the central axes disposed from one another and integrally connected together with a closed end and an end shield covering the second end. A first shaft is supported on bearings in the first cylinder concentric to it, with an eccentric weight attached to the first shaft. A second shaft concentric to the second cylinder is supported on bearings concentric to the second cylinder. Only one end of the housing, the other end is closed, has an end cap and the shafts are connected by helical pinions so that the helical pinions urge the weights and shafts in opposite directions from one another.

摘要： A container filling machine having a frame and a fill station on the frame. The fill station has hooks to engage stirrups on the top of the bag. The fill station also has a platform to support a first open topped container. The fill station also has hooks to support a first open top container. A filling member is supported on the hooks for supporting an open top container. A dispensing means is supported on the frame of the open top container to fill the top container and to fill a container resting on the platform. Means is provided to automatically release the hooks and means is provided to shake the bag to settle the material in it and to move the bags towards the front of the machine. Hooks are used to facilitate removing the bag.

摘要： A container filler and weighing system is disclosed. The weighing system is made up of a scale with a support for a container supported on the scale. A vibrator connected to the support so that the material fed into the container from a feeder is packed and settled in the container. An electronic readout is connected to the scale and a digital readout connected to the electronic circuit whereby the readings can be recorded and an annunciator is connected to the electronic circuit to signal when the container is full. The vibrator connected to the container support delivers a vertical component of force that has an especially good and efficient packing reaction on the material in the container.

The shaker has pre-lubricated sealed bearings and a self-lubricating plastic gear with a metal gear, which not only educes the amount of friction between gear teeth, reduces maintenance and noise resulting from the gears and enables applicant to provide an integral open frame in which the gears are supported. The gears may be inserted into the frame through the openings in the frame. This provides for easy assembly and the absence of lubricant is especially important in the food industry and other industries where contamination of products would be objectionable.

摘要： A coupling including a seal which has an outer periphery that is adapted to be pressed into the inner periphery of a hollow cylindrical sleeve of a gear coupling. An annular flange is integrally attached to the ring and the flange extends radially inwardly and toward and is adapted to underlie the external teeth on the hub of the coupling. The flange terminates in an inwardly directed sealing surface that is adapted to sealingly engage an external cylindrical surface on the hub. The sealing surface on the flange is adapted to be disposed on a plane passing through the center of curvature of the tips of the hub teeth perpendicular to the central axis of the coupling.

摘要： A hob or shaper cutter for making a hub for a misalignment gear coupling having a hub and a sleeve. The hob or shaper cutter has cutting edges. Each cutting edge being inclined at a different angle to the center line of the tooth. The cutting edges are adapted to cut tooth flank surfaces having three adjacent involute shaped areas. Each involute shaped area having a different pressure angle than the involute area adjacent it. The involute areas of each tooth result in teeth with flanks that are generally cylindrical shaped, whereby hub treeth operate with a minimum of interferfence with sleeve teeth when operating with the hub misaligned with the sleeve.

Applicant's shaker herein requires a minimal amount of maintenance and will operate for long periods of time. Moreover, Applicant's shaker requires little or no lubrication. The gears may be disposed between the two parts of the housing and the eccentric weights outside the housing or visa versa.
