Each antenna array includes a plurality of antenna elements and a beamformer configured to produce n different bi-directional beams using the plurality of antenna elements. The system includes a plurality of n multiple-input multiple-output transceivers (MIMO). Each MIMO transceiver includes a MIMO receiver configured to accept m received signals, wherein the i-th input signal to the j-th MIMO receiver corresponds to the j-th beam of the i-th antenna array. Each MIMO transceiver also includes a MIMO transmitter configured to provide m transmit signals, wherein the v-th output signal from the z-th MIMO transmitter corresponding to the z-th beam of the v-th antenna array is selected for transmission. m, n, v, and z are integer number values, and i=1, . . . , m, j=1, . . . , n, and v=1, . . . m.

摘要: In an exemplary apparatus implementation, an apparatus includes: at least one processor; and one or more media including processor-executable instructions that are capable of being executed by the at least one processor, the processor-executable instructions adapted to direct the apparatus to perform actions including: monitoring at least one signal characteristic for multiple signals that relate to a single source address; and detecting a wireless interloper if a discrepancy is determined to exist with regard to the monitored at least one signal characteristic for the multiple signals. In an exemplary access station implementation, an access station is capable of ascertaining at least one signal characteristic for multiple signals, is configured to detect a wireless interloper with regard to a particular address by analyzing the ascertained at least one signal characteristic for the multiple signals, and is adapted to counter the detected wireless interloper.

摘要: An exemplary access station for wireless communications includes: a wireless input/output unit that is configured to establish multiple access points; and signal transmission/reception coordination logic that is capable of ascertaining that an access point of the multiple access points is receiving a signal and that is adapted to restrain at least one other access point of the multiple access points from transmitting another signal responsive to the ascertaining that the access point is receiving the signal. An exemplary method includes: monitoring multiple respective indicators acquired from multiple respective baseband units; detecting whether at least one respective indicator of the multiple respective indicators is affirmatively indicating that a signal is being received; and if so, providing at least one instruction to at least two medium access controllers of multiple respective medium access controllers, the at least one instruction restraining the at least two medium access controllers from causing a transmission.
