摘要: In an implementation of directed wireless communication, a multi-beam directed signal system coordinates directed wireless communication with client devices. A transmit beam-forming network routes data communication transmissions to the client devices via directed communication beams that are emanated from an antenna assembly, and a receive beam-forming network receives data communication receptions from the client devices via the directed communication beams.

摘要: A technique for Doppler frequency estimation in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems. A frequency domain approach may be applied to any OFDM because it utilizes pilot subcarriers, and thus does not increase the system overhead. An estimator may be implemented as a relatively low-complexity finite impulse response (FIR) filter bank with coefficients that may be pre-calculated and stored in memory.

摘要: A method is disclosed to eliminate inter-cluster interference of user equipment located at the edge of a cluster of cells. The method operates by employing fractional frequency reuse (FFR) principles on clusters or combinations of cells in a wireless neighborhood, in which base stations in the cells coordinate their operations in a scheme known as coordinated multi-point transmission (CoMP). By using the FFR principles to single out edge users of the CoMP cluster, the method mitigates interference and increases throughput for the edge users.
