摘要: A method is carried-out by a controller architecture coupled to a beam assembly actuator, which is included in an articulating tongue arrangement connecting an agricultural implement to a tow vehicle. In an embodiment, the method includes: (i) monitoring, via the controller architecture, an effective tow length of an articulating beam assembly further included in the articulating tongue arrangement, the effective tow length measured along a straight line extending from a leading pivot joint of the articulating tongue arrangement to a trailing pivot joint of the articulating tongue arrangement; (ii) determining, at the controller architecture, an effective tow length target of the articulating tongue arrangement based upon operator input, sensor input, or a combination thereof; and (iii) transmitting commands from the controller architecture to the beam assembly actuator to maintain the effective tow length of the articulating beam assembly in conformance with the effective tow length target.

摘要: An articulating tongue arrangement includes a vehicle attachment section enabling attachment of the articulating tongue arrangement to a tow vehicle, an implement attachment section enabling attachment of the articulating tongue arrangement to an agricultural implement, and an articulating beam assembly located between the vehicle attachment section and the implement attachment section. The articulating beam assembly includes, in turn, a leading end portion movably coupled to the vehicle attachment section at a leading pivoting joint, a trailing end portion movably coupled to the implement attachment section at a trailing pivoting joint, and a beam assembly actuator coupled between the leading end portion and the trailing end portion of the articulating beam assembly. The beam assembly actuator is controllable to adjust an effective tow length of the articulating beam assembly, as measured along a straight line extending from the leading pivoting joint to the trailing pivoting joint.

摘要: An agricultural planter and tractor combination which has a connection therebetween which comprises a stationary support arm coupled to the tractor and a pivoting support arm coupled to the agricultural planter with a connecting threaded member extended therethrough and a rotation-limited intermediate member with two protrusions extending into voids in said pivoting support arm so that said pivoting support arm will not rotate around said connecting threaded member and the connecting threaded member further translated through a portion of a hex-headed bushing and rotationally advanced through another portion, and a terminal nut also rotationally advanced over said connecting threaded member. Rotation-limited intermediate member is made of a harder more durable material then said connecting threaded member, said stationary support arm and said pivoting support arm. Hex headed bushing 1500 is softer than all of these components so that damage resulting from use of the connection will be disproportionally imparted upon said hex headed bushing 1500.

摘要: A coupling assembly couples an implement to a vehicle having a pickup hitch. The coupling assembly includes a coupler frame attached to the implement. A jack stand member is mounted on two coupling pins which project from the coupler frame. The jack stand member has a first slot which receives the first pin and a second slot which receives the second pin. The second slot forms a first shoulder which engages the second pin to support the coupler frame when the jack stand member is in a ground engaging lowered position. A block mounted to the pickup hitch is spaced apart from the jack stand member to allow it to fall to the lowered position when the coupler frame is uncoupled from the vehicle. The block engages a surface of the jack stand member to raise the jack stand member when the coupler frame is moved towards the vehicle.

The sensor is coupled to the agricultural implement and configured to output a signal indicative of a pitch angle of the agricultural implement. The control system is configured to receive the signal indicative of the pitch angle from the sensor, determine whether the pitch angle is within a pitch angle range, generate a hitch height control signal indicative of instructions to adjust a hitch actuator if the pitch angle is not within the pitch angle range, and communicate the hitch height control signal.

摘要: A towing vehicle includes a vehicle body, a coupling device provided in a rear portion of the vehicle body, and an inching control switch located at a position in the rear portion of the vehicle body shifted from a center of the rear portion of the vehicle body in a vehicle width direction. The vehicle body has a mount surface provided adjacent to a rear corner thereof. The mount surface is exposed to the outside and the inching control switch projects from the mount surface to the outside of the vehicle. The mount surface extends at an angle with respect to the vehicle width direction. A part of the mount surface that is closest to the center of the rear portion in the vehicle width direction is located rearward of the other part of the mount surface that is most distant from the center of the rear portion.
