Abstract:
A tool assembly for a planter row unit resides at the forward end of the row unit beneath the tool bar. The assembly includes a bracket assembly connected to the row unit, with a ground engaging tool removably mounted on the bracket assembly for movement between raised and lowered positions. A linear actuator controls the position of the tool. The tool may also include a depth control mechanism. Different tools can be interchanged on the bracket assembly.
Abstract:
A ground engaging agricultural blade, coulter, or disc having a central opening adapted to be attached to an implement for rotation about a substantially horizontal axis of rotation; the coulter or disc have an outer periphery; and plurality of step plane notches disposed in the outer periphery. The blade can be used with a hub disposed around the central opening or a spacer spool on a shaft extending through the central openings of adjacent blades, the spacer spools extending radially outwardly by a distance.
Abstract:
A strip till finishing system includes a pair of wheels, each outer circumference including a plurality of equidistantly spaced openings for engagement; at least two attachment plates coupled to each of the pair of wheels, each attachment plate having a circumference matching the outer circumference, each attachment plate coupled to the outer circumferences via a plurality of attachment means configured on each attachment plate to align with the plurality of equidistantly spaced openings, and a plurality of ground-engaging finger elements coupled to each pair of attachment plate over a 360 degree arc, the plurality of ground-engaging finger elements directed outwardly from each wheel to enable ground engagement.
Abstract:
A disk for use with a tillage machine includes a body portion rotatable about an axis of rotation. The body portion has a circumferential edge and a concavity with a first radius defined from a point on the axis of rotation. A hub portion is continuous with the body portion and presents an abutment face having a concavity with a second radius defined from a point on the axis of rotation. An aperture extends through the abutment face and is centered about the axis of rotation.
Abstract:
A group for cleaning and making a furrow in a ground, comprising: —a frame suitable to be connected to a driving unit; —a rotary grooving disc provided with grooves; wherein the grooving disc is articulated to the frame in a mobile fashion perpendicularly to the ground with respect to the frame by means of a resilient articulated group provided with mutually parallel articulation axes, and wherein the resilient articulated group comprises at least one plurality of arms articulated with respect to mutually parallel articulation axes, among which there is at least one resiliently flexibly yieldable arm.
Abstract:
An agricultural tillage implement has a disk frame assembly connected to a pull hitch extending in a travel direction with frame members extending generally laterally with respect to the travel direction. At least one disk blade is connected to and supported by the frame members to till soil over which the agricultural tillage implement traverses. A disk scraper mounting member is connected to at least one frame member. A channel shaped disk scraper is connected to the disk scraper mounting member using a bolted joint connection. The channel shaped disk scraper has a square mounting end adjoining an inner perpendicular surface of the disk scraper mounting member. The channel shaped disk scraper is operable to scrape residue from the at least one disk blade and deflect it away from the travel direction.
Abstract:
An agricultural tillage blade having a central opening is adapted to be disposed on a shaft for rotation to cut trash and penetrate into the soil. The blade has an outer periphery substantially in the shape of a sine curve formed about a circle. The outer periphery of the blade is sharpened to more easily penetrate the soil and cut trash.
Abstract:
An agricultural row unit assembly includes an attachment frame configured for attachment to a tow bar that is movable in a direction of travel. A proximal end of a swing-arm is coupled to the attachment frame, and an opener disk is mounted to and offset from a distal end of the swing-arm for forming a furrow. A deflecting disk is mounted to the distal end for deflecting debris from entering the furrow, and is mounted between the distal end of the swing-arm and the opener disk. The deflecting disk has a top peripheral edge spaced away from a top peripheral edge of the opener disk. A support bracket is attached as a cantilevered structure depending from the proximal end of the swing arm and extends in a space between the top peripheral edges. A tube is routed long the support bracket for dispensing a material into the furrow.
Abstract:
A scraper for removing accumulated soil from the wheel of a planter, the scraper comprising a scraper arm having a first end and a second end, the first end being adapted for attachment to an axle mounted to the frame of the planter, and the second end for carrying a scraper blade, wherein the scraper arm is sized and shaped so that when the first end of the scraper arm is attached to the axle, the second end can present the scraper blade to the ground-contacting surface of the wheel so as to remove accumulated soil from the wheel.
