摘要： One object is to provide a double bearing reel that provides a comfortable grip feeling in fishing and prevents the cover plates from making a malfunction. A double bearing reel of the present invention includes: a reel body including left and right side plates, each of the left and right side plates including a frame and a cover plate; a spool rotatably supported between the left and right side plates; a handle provided on one of the left and right side plates and configured to rotationally drive the spool; and an opening/closing mechanism configured to enable the cover plate on an opposite side to the handle to be opened and closed on the associated frame. An opening is formed in a side surface of the cover plate on the opposite side to the handle, and an operation member of the opening/closing mechanism is disposed within the opening.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a fishing reel configured to suppress formation of a dead space on the outer circumferential side of an anti-reverse device and thus reduced in size. The fishing reel includes a reel body, a drive shaft caused to rotate by an operation of a handle, an anti-reverse device interposed between the reel body and the drive shaft, and a cylinder-shaped cylindrical member disposed on an outer circumferential side of the anti-reverse device. A switching control member of the anti-reverse device and the cylindrical member are engaged with each other, and a swiveling operation of the cylindrical member causes the drive shaft to switch to an anti-reverse state or a reversible state.

摘要： A torque limiting device includes a shaft member that is rotatable by torque, a first cam portion, a second cam portion and an urging member. The first cam portion is rotatably mounted to the shaft member. The second cam portion is mounted to the shaft member so as to be unitarily rotatable therewith and be movable along an axial direction of the shaft member. The second cam portion is configured to enable torque transmission between the first cam portion and the second cam portion when engaged with the first cam portion so as to be unitarily rotatable therewith. Additionally, the second cam portion is configured to disable torque transmission between the first cam portion and the second cam portion when disengaged and separated away from the first cam portion along the axial direction. The urging member urges the second cam portion toward the first cam portion.

The ratchet wheel is rotatable in conjunction with the drive shaft. The pawl member is pivotally disposed on the pivot shaft between an engagement position in which the pawl member engages the ratchet teeth and an un-engagement position in which the pawl member is un-engagement from the ratchet teeth. The pawl pivot controller is rotatably disposed on the pivot shaft, has an interlocking gear that rotates in response to the rotation of the drive shaft, and pivots the pawl member to the engagement position and the un-engagement position in response to the rotational direction of the interlocking gear.

The guiding portion has a cylindrical section and a hexagonal section that non-rotatably and movably guides the second cam member in the pivot axis direction. The guide fastening portion includes a hexagonal recessed section that is disposed on a side of the reel unit and receives the hexagonal section. The guide fastening portion further includes a through hole that receives the cylindrical section.
